Ellen DeGeneres Announces She’s Quitting Hollywood

Longtime TV personality and comedian Ellen DeGeneres is calling it quits on Hollywood.

DeGeneres, during a recent stop on her “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” tour”  shared she’s finished with fame once her tour is finished.

When asked by a fan if she will continue her career in Hollywood or Broadway, the longtime host of the Ellen DeGeneres Show shared, “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”

Another fan asked a similar question and asked the comedian if she would voice the character Dory in Finding Nemo.

DeGeneres responded, “No, I’m going bye-bye, remember.”

Ellen DeGeneres said during a recent stop on her “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” tour that she is done with fame once she plays her final shows, which will be filmed for a new Netflix special (via People and SFGate). During the audience Q&A part of the show at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, one fan asked if DeGeneres would return to movies after the tour ended or perhaps try her hand at Broadway.

“Um, no,” DeGeneres answered matter-of-factly. “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”

Another fan pushed DeGeneres to once again voice the character Dory from Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” and “Finding Dory,” but DeGeneres responded: “No, I’m going bye-bye, remember.”

DeGeneres kicked off the “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” tour earlier this year and recently canceled four dates on the lineup. She’s been using the shows to address the misconduct accusations that hit as “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was coming to an end after a nearly 20-year run.

The talk show ended amid a series of reports detailing allegations of racism, sexual misconduct and intimidation behind the scenes. Variety also reported on crew members’ frustrations with how the production handled compensation during the COVID pandemic. DeGeneres gave an on-air apology and three producers were fired after WarnerMedia conducted an internal investigation.

“Let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me,” DeGeneres said at the Santa Rosa show before joking: “I got chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean.”

Here’s what The New York Post reported:

Ellen DeGeneres is ready to walk away from show business.

The comedian, 66, said that she’s “done” with being in the public eye after her Netflix stand-up special comes out later this year.

DeGeneres made the declaration at her comedy show in Santa Rosa, Calif., on July 1.

“This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done,” she said, according to SFGate.

When a fan asked DeGeneres if she’ll voice Dory again from “Finding Nemo” and “Finding Dory,” she replied, “No, I’m going bye-bye, remember.”

This is Ellen fawning all over Donald Trump in 2004, just as The Apprentice is becoming a worldwide hit.

Ellen clearly loves him....so much so that she even tries to set him up on a date with her mom who happened to be in the audience that day.

Fascinating to watch.

Over 35 years ago back in 1988, Donald Trump went on Oprah's TV show and they had an incredible chat.

You can see Oprah fawning all over Donald....

They all LOVED him before he ran for President!

And speaking of running for President, Oprah asked him if he ever thought he'd run.

Listen as he tells Oprah he has no desire to run for President because it's a tough life, but then he says he would never close the door on it in case things got so bad in America that he had to.

What a wise man...

He kept the door open because he could see even back then the direction America was going.

What really strikes me is how stunningly CONSISTENT he is.

He sounds the same in 1980 as he does in 1988 as he does today!

Same guy!

And it's not the person the Legacy Media wants to tell you he is.

This is man who loves America.

But that's not all.

Let's go back even earlier....

The Oprah clip was 1988.

Let's go back to 1980 where we have Donald Trump at Age 34.

Even back then his love for this country rose above all else.

It's all there.

RARE VIDEO: David Letterman LOVED Donald Trump!

You're going to love this.

So I have to admit something...

I was a huge David Letterman fan.

Always thought he was hilarious.

Genuinely funny and I loved how he would interview and joke with guests.

If Leno was your polished, plain vanilla comedy, Letterman had all the jagged edges....and the edges were hilarious.

But then something happened.

As he got older, he got more political and started going far left.

And with that move the comedy started to disappear.

Because comedy can't exist when you're too full of anger and political ideology.

So I want to you try and forget about the David Letterman of today and I want to take you back to the David Letterman of the 1980s.

When Letterman was in his prime....and when David Letterman LOVED Donald Trump.

Those are not my words, that comes straight from Letterman himself in this clip.
