J.D. Vance Reveal If Trump has Reached Out To Him Regarding VP Position

Republican Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio recently shared he has not received any phone call from Trump regarding potentially being Trump’s running mate.

An NBC News reporter asked Vance, “Have you gotten the call from Donald Trump? Has he asked you to be his running mate?”

Vance responded, “We’ll let the media know if I ever get that call.”

“But most importantly, we’re just trying to work to elect Donald Trump. Whoever his vice president is, he’s got a lot of good people he could choose from,” added Vance.

Per NBC News:

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, on Sunday said former President Donald Trump has not spoken to him about joining his campaign as his vice presidential pick.

“Have you gotten the call from Donald Trump? Has he asked you to be his running mate?” moderator Kristen Welker asked Vance during an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”

Vance, who is on Trump’s short list of potential running mates, said he has “not gotten the call” but would alert the media if that happens.

“We’ll let the media know if I ever get that call,” he said. “But most importantly, we’re just trying to work to elect Donald Trump. Whoever his vice president is, he’s got a lot of good people he could choose from.”

In the interview, Vance also defended Trump’s recent remarks calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate President Joe Biden and his family if he wins a second presidential term.

Sen. J.D. Vance said Sunday that he has “not gotten the call” yet from former President Donald Trump about being his running mate, but either way, he’s fighting to return him to the White House.

“We’ll let the media know if I ever get that call, but most importantly, we’re just trying to work to elect Donald Trump and whoever the vice president is,” the Ohio Republican, said to be on Trump’s shortlist, told NBC News’ “Meet the Press.” “It’s the leadership style that works for the American people, and I think we have to bring that back to the White House, and I’m fighting to do that.”

Vance also said he will not contest the results of the 2024 election, so long as the process is “free and fair.”
