Tucker Carlson said Wednesday he may have secured an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Looks like we’ve got the Zelenskyy interview. We’ve been trying for two years, and with particular intensity after interviewing Putin in February. The point is to bring Americans much-needed information about the conflict that’s completely reshaping their country’s position in the world. Coming soon we hope,” Carlson said.

Please don’t go to Ukraine to do it. Do it somewhere like Hungary. Neutral territory.

However, it appears Zelensky has not granted an interview to Carlson.
Zelensky press office to Tucker Carlson:
Mr. Tucker Carlson should verify his FSB sources more carefully. The President of Ukraine has a completely different schedule, and Tucker Carlson is not on it.

From The Kyiv Independent:
President Volodymyr Zelensky does not have plans to be interviewed by U.S. far-right political commentator Tucker Carlson, said Presidential Office spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov on July 4.
Nykyforov responded sarcastically to Carlson’s earlier announcement, saying that the commentator should “more carefully check his sources in the FSB (Russia’s Federal Security Service).”
Earlier in the day, Carlson said, “It looks like we’ve got the Zelensky interview,” adding that it is “coming soon, we hope.”
The announcement follows a controversial interview that Carlson held with Russian President Vladimir Putin in February.
Zelensky’s spokesperson, Serhii Nikiforov denies Tucker interview plan and says:
“Mr. Tucker Carlson should double-check his sources within the FSB more thoroughly. The schedule of the president of Ukraine is completely different, and Tucker Carlson is not there.” pic.twitter.com/C5FWgcQtmp

Per Newsweek:
Carlson claimed that his team had been trying to interview the Ukrainian leader since 2022.
In February, he traveled to Moscow to interview Putin about the war in Ukraine, becoming the first Western journalist to do so since the conflict began in February 2022.
At the time, Carlson said that he was interviewing the Russian leader “because it’s our job. We’re in journalism. Our duty is to inform people.”
He said he aimed to “bring Americans much-needed information about the conflict that’s completely reshaping their country’s position in the world.”
