The First Squad Member Has Been DEFEATED In Primary

The far-left lawmakers collectively known as “the Squad” have long been associated with unhinged and unprofessional behavior on Capitol Hill and in their respective districts, but one recent rally in the Bronx, New York, was over the top even by those standards.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) faced a tough primary battle and attempted to energize his base by going on a profanity-filled tirade that even turned off some officials in his own party. The strategy ultimately failed spectacularly, as we’ll discuss in a bit.

As the Daily Mail reported:

A New York Democrat ridiculed his progressive ‘Squad’ colleague for an ‘unhinged’ and expletive-filled campaign rally, saying the angry tirade was totally inappropriate.

‘Squad’ member Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., was filmed screaming and swearing over the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Political Action Committee (AIPAC), who is backing his primary challenger George Latimer.

‘We are going to show f—ing AIPAC, the power of the motherf—ing South Bronx!’ Bowman yelled Saturday at a rally with fellow progressive ‘Squad’ member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

People ask me why I got a foul mouth. What am I supposed to do? You’re coming after me! You’re coming after my family! You’re coming after my children,’ Bowman proclaimed. ‘I’m not supposed to fight back?’

‘We’re going to show them who the f–k we are!’ Bowman added while jumping and waving his arms on stage.

The display attracted widespread ridicule and mockery on social media, particularly after Bowman lost his primary race by a large margin this week.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s (D-NY) career in Congress will end after a single term following a series of antisemitic controversies and a Capitol stunt resulting in his criminal conviction.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer defeated Bowman Tuesday night in the most expensive House race in history. AdImpact estimated the two camps spent a total of $23 million on the Democrat primary, according to filings compiled by OpenSecrets.
