Donald Trump has never been shy in sharing his unvarnished thoughts about undocumented immigrants, and during a recent campaign stop in Philadelphia, he elaborated on one new proposition he shared with Ultimate Fighting Championship head Dana White.
According to the New York Post:
During two speeches on Saturday — one before a gathering of Christian conservatives and then later at a rally in Philadelphia — Trump floated that concept while recounting how he brought it to Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White.
“These people are tough. They’re so tough,” Trump said to the conservative Christians at a Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington, DC.
“I said, ‘Dana I have an idea. Why don’t you set up a migrant league of fighters and have your regular league fighters. And then you have the champion of your league — these are the greatest fighters in the world — fight the champion of the migrants.’”
Audience members were heard laughing as Trump explained his conversation with White about a migrant fight league.
“I think the migrant guy might win, that’s how tough they are. He didn’t like that idea too much, but actually, it’s not the worst idea I’ve had,” Trump quipped. “These people are tough and they’re nasty, mean.”
Trump’s connection with the UFC is well-documented, with rousing receptions at various fights he has attended throughout the campaign thus far.

For his part, White later clarified that Trump’s remarks were made in jest.
As Forbes reported:
On Saturday evening, White was fielded a question about Trump’s comments in the early moments of the UFC Saudi Arabia post-fight press conference.
White chuckled after the question was asked, then responded, “It was a joke, yeah,” said White. “It was a joke. It was a joke. I saw everybody going crazy online. But yeah, he did say it.”
White has hosted Trump at several UFC events over the past few years, most recently having the former President sit at cageside for UFC 302, which took place in Newark, New Jersey.
White also spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2016 and 2020 in support of Donald Trump.
