Senator Chuck Schumer deleted his most recent Father’s Day post after receiving backlash from users on X.
Schumer posted on X a photo of himself grilling patties on a grill, but there was a major problem: Schumer put cheese on raw burgers.
The Senator from New York posted the photo with the caption “Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!”
Users on X quickly called out Schumer’s grilling skills and wrote, “Chuck. I love you man, but you put the cheese on AFTER the burger is cooked.”
Another user added, “Might want to cook that burger longer, Chuck.”
Here’s the post that has been deleted:
Chuck Schumer is 73 years old. Remarkably, he has yet to master the art of grilling a simple burger.
Nonetheless, some people inexplicably have faith in his leadership and believe that his Democratic Party thinks gas stoves are bad for the planet, but gas grills are fine.

I love that Chuck Schumer posted this picture of himself "grilling" with cheese on a raw burger patty and got so ratioed for it, he deleted the post. A great way to end Father's Day 🤣 pic.twitter.com/kvBf2Ewl0Z

Here’s what the New York Post reported:
US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was ready to man the grill on Father’s Day – but couldn’t handle the heat when a slew of food critics on social media questioned his skills with a spatula and a patty.
The Brooklyn-born senator initially posted a photo to X of himself in front of a grill with burger patties and hot dogs – and an ear-to-ear smile.
“Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!” Schumer tweeted. “Father’s Day Heaven!”
But commenters were quick to grill the New York legislator and wondered if a piece of cheese on a patty was placed there prematurely.
“Chuck. I love you man, but you put the cheese on AFTER the burger is cooked,” one saucy user said.
“Might want to cook that burger longer, Chuck,” another commented.
Ex-National Republican Senatorial Committee Matt Whitlock tweeted, “Seeing that piece of cheese on a raw patty,” with a gif of a concerned Steve Carell slinking away.
What you people did to Chuck Schumer over putting cheese on raw burgers will never be forgotten. Senator Schumer left this platform and hasn’t been back online since…. pic.twitter.com/5u3XyNbdKg

Per the Washington Times:
Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer aimed to enjoy a classic Father’s Day barbecue, but he found himself under fire from social media critics questioning his grilling expertise.
The New York Democrat shared a cheerful photo on X, showing him at a grill laden with burger patties and hot dogs and beaming with happiness.
“For years, our family has lived in an apartment building,” Mr. Schumer posted. “But now that my daughter and her wife have bought a house with a backyard, we’re having our first barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill! Father’s Day bliss!”
But it didn’t take long for online commenters to scrutinize the New York senator’s grilling technique, particularly focusing on whether he had placed cheese on a burger patty too early in the cooking process.
“Chuck. I love you man, but you put the cheese on AFTER the burger is cooked,” one saucy user said.
“Might want to cook that burger longer, Chuck,” another wrote, the New York Post reported.
