Trump Endorses Purple Heart Recipient for U.S. Senate

Sam Brown is a proud United States Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient who is running for the United States Senate for the state of Nevada and was recently endorsed by Trump on his Truth Social platform.

Captain Brown was a graduate of the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point and assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division located at Fort Cavazos (formally Fort Hood), TX.

In 2008 he was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan when he received information that a nearby Platoon was under fire and without hesitation led his team into the fight to provide support.

This is when Captain Brown was hit with a roadside bomb called an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which detonated under his fuel tank.

Thankfully, he was saved by a fellow Soldier before the flames took his life.

Due to his injuries, he was medically retired as a Captain.

Fast forward to today and President Trump has just endorsed Captain Brown for U.S. Senate in Nevada:

In response, Captain Brown took to Twitter to thank President Trump for his leadership and endorsement:

Captain Brown is running on issues that affect us all under Joe Biden’s leadership, including the economy, immigration, education, energy, foreign policy, and public safety, just to name a few, and one that I’m sure is near and dear to him, our great Service Members and Veterans that protect our country and way of life as he did and is striving to continue to do so.

You can see what he has to say regarding veterans on his website here:

The interests of Veterans should never be politicized. We need leaders who honor the sacrifices of Veterans and work to improve the lives of military personnel and their families.

I know the inefficiencies of bureaucracy and the impact it has on our veteran community. It’s the reason I started a small business that stepped in when the VA fell short, by providing critical medications to veterans in need of care.

I am wholly committed to expanding on the improvements made by the Trump administration to the Department of Veterans Affairs, and I’ll work to build even more effective networks of support in the areas of healthcare, education, and occupational readiness.

We know that President Trump loves our Troops, and it is safe to say that so does Captain Sam Brown and I for one thank him for his service and dedication to the United States of America at home, and abroad.
