Ivanka Trump Issues First Statement Following President Trump’s Guilty Verdict

Ivanka Trump has released her first statement since her father, Donald Trump, was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records.

In a post on Instagram, Ivanka wrote, “I love you dad.”

Along with the caption, Ivanka also posted a throwback photo with her dad.

Here’s what The Hill reported:

Ivanka Trump is speaking out publicly for the first time since her father, former President Trump, was found guilty of all 34 counts in his hush money criminal case.

The 42-year-old daughter of the ex-commander in chief, who served as his senior adviser in the White House, posted an Instagram Story on Thursday.

“I love you dad,” the message said, with a throwback photo of Trump’s eldest daughter as a toddler posing with her father.

Ivanka Trump’s nod to her dad came shortly after he became the first former president to be convicted of a felony. Jurors in New York City on Thursday found him guilty of falsifying business records in connection with a hush money payment his then-fixer, Michael Cohen, made to porn actor Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Per The New York Post:

Ivanka Trump shared a heartfelt message of support for her father following his conviction in the Manhattan hush money trial Thursday.

The former first daughter shared a photo of a young Donald Trump holding her as a kid on his lap to Instagram Stories with the caption “I love you dad” and a heart emoji.

The short and sweet message were the first public remarks Ivanka, 42, has made after her dad became the first former US president to be criminally convicted.
