‘You Attacked Her’: Even CNN Host Took Issue With Rep. Crockett’s Insulting Outburst Toward MTG

The House floor became the scene of a chaotic back-and-forth between a pair of Democratic lawmakers and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently.

Toward the end of the heated exchange, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) served up a deeply insulting attack on Greene’s appearance.

Her over-the-top rhetoric was so incendiary that even CNN host Jake Tapper had to confront her about it during an appearance on his program.

As Fox News reported:

CNN host Jake Tapper told Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, she hit back at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., criticism of her appearance “a thousand-fold” by referring to her “bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body.”

“You’ve really embraced what you said. You’re printing it on SWAG,” Tapper told Crockett on sunday. “How would you respond to say it’s inappropriate to respond to an attack on somebody’s physical appearance — and you hear Congresswoman AOC say, you know, ‘you shouldn’t be attacking somebody’s physical appearance,’ but then you did the same thing. You attacked her physical appearance.”

During a House Oversight Committee hearing on Thursday, Greene said Crockett’s “fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.” Democrats tried and failed to strike the comment from the record, prompting Crockett to ask Chairman James Comer, R-Ky. “if someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleached-blonde, bad-built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

Crockett almost immediately tried to cash in on her ad hominem attack, turning the remark into a T-shirt. That also blew up in her face due to a glaring typographical error.

Since practically any political disagreement will devolve into allegations of racism by leftists, that’s exactly where this one ended up, as the New York Post reported:

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett blasted fellow Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as “racist” and implored House Speaker Mike Johnson to”rein her in” Sunday — after the two congresswomen traded barbs in a fiery Oversight Committee hearing last week.

“MAGA has historically been on social media, doing the things where they’re saying, ‘Oh, she’s black with lashes and nails and hair and so she’s ghetto,’” the Democrat told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday.

“So to me, this was her buying into that rhetoric and trying to amplify this for the MAGA crowd. And so yeah, I absolutely think that she only did it to be racist towards me.”

And for good measure, the Texas Democrat who apparently believes all her critics are racist and promotes merchandise with her own name misspelled had the audacity to describe herself as the pinnacle of intelligence.
