Another European Country To Reject WHO Pandemic Treaty

Reports indicate Slovakia, a member of the European Union, will reject the World Health Organization’s pandemic treaty.

“Peter Kotlár, the Slovak Government Plenipotentiary for the COVID-19 pandemic, informed that Slovakia would not support the current version of the new pandemic treaty or the draft amendment to the International Health Regulations,” Radio Slovakia International reports.

Per Radio Slovakia International:

The Health Ministry noted that it would not support any documents weakening Slovakia’s position as a sovereign state. Kotlár also had a meeting with WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus who stated that he respected the decision of the Slovak Republic, but also encouraged the search for possible ways to reach an agreement.

Representatives of the 194 WHO member countries have been meeting in Geneva since 29 April to seek consensus on a draft treaty on the prevention, preparation, and response to future pandemics.

The news follows reports suggesting the United Kingdom intends to reject the WHO’s pandemic treaty.

United Kingdom Reportedly To Reject World Health Organization Pandemic Treaty

From 100 Percent Fed Up:

According to The Telegraph, the United Kingdom is refusing to sign the World Health Organization’s pandemic treaty.

The outlet said the UK is “firmly against” vaccine-related commitments that require the country to “give away a fifth of its jabs.”

The UK “will not sign any form of the pandemic agreement that undermines Britain’s sovereignty,” The Telegraph stated.

The WHO’s pandemic treaty and IHR amendments have also faced resistance in the United States.

Last week, all 49 Republican U.S. Senators, led by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), penned a letter to Joe Biden urging to withdraw support from expanding the WHO’s pandemic authority.
