Hollywood Star: "The Bible is One of the WORST Books Ever"

I guess we can all shelve our Bibles.

A Hollywood star is showing us the err of our ways.

Actor Brian Cox has brought it to our attention that the Bible is just a book of myths. Mere lies to control the populace.

In fact, it’s one of the worst books ever written.

He certainly isn’t holding back his thoughts about God, who doesn’t exist, he says.

In an interview on “The Starting Line” podcast, he trampled on the Word and the whole idea of believing in God, saying it’s something that holds us back.

Yawn. These atheists are so lazy in their attempt to dismiss God.

Brian Cox says he thinks the Bible is “one of the worst books ever”:

Brian Cox has some strong feelings about organized religion.

While appearing on Sunday’s episode of “The Starting Line” podcast, the “Succession” star criticized the Bible and belief in God, saying it “hold[s] us back.”

“If God says this and God does that, and you go, ‘Well, what is God?’ We’ve created that idea of God, and we’ve created it as a control issue,” Cox told host Rich Leigh.

Cox condemned the Bible as “essentially patriarchal” and “propaganda” before declaring, “the Bible is one of the worst books ever, for me, for my point of view,” because it begins with the story of Adam and Eve, in which Eve is descended from Adam’s rib.

“It is not the truth; it’s a mythology.”

Cox also seems to love the matriarchy.

But doesn’t that involve women?

Does this imply that Cox knows what a woman is?

Is this man a biologist? I thought he was an actor.

Brian Cox says that society should move towards a matriarchy:

The way I see it, if you really want to know truth, God will reveal it to you.

If you just want to hear yourself talk and be full of yourself and feel pompous because want to feel better about yourself than ‘dumb’ Christians, then chances are God won’t cast His pearls in your direction.

Cox went on to criticize the role of religion in gender inequality, citing the Christian parable of Adam and Eve.

“We have to honor (women), and we have to give them their place and we’re resistant to that because it’s Adam and Eve. I mean, the propaganda goes right way back,” Cox said. “The Bible is one of the worst books ever, for me, from my point of view.

“Because it starts with the idea that out of Adam’s rib, this woman was created, and (people will) believe it cause they’re stupid enough.”

While Cox acknowledged that some may turn to religion for spiritual guidance, the actor chafed at the nature of religious ideology.

“They need it, but they don’t need to be told lies,” Cox said. “They need some kind of truth, and that is not the truth. … It’s a mythology.”

Imagine trashing a Book, the only Book, that accurately tells us how to get out of this realm, escape Hell and go into Heaven. That’s worth more than it’s weight in gold!
