Drew Barrymore Calls Kamala Harris “Mámala” But Doesn’t Realize The Hilarious Meaning It Has In Spanish

Drew Barrymore invited Kamala Harris on her show and made an embarrassing mistake.

During the show, Barrymore, in a soft emotional tone, told Harris, “We need you to be ‘Mamala’ of the country.”

Harris responded, “Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, I know.”

Barrymore was attempting to join the words mom and Kamala together, but in doing so, she called Harris “Mámala,” which, in Spanish, means “suck it.”

Here’s the moment Barrymore said it here:

Here’s what Fox News reported:

Vice President Kamala Harris was asked on Drew Barrymore’s daytime talk show Monday if she could become a mother to the country.

“I’ve been thinking that we really all need a tremendous hug in the world right now,” Barrymore said, “but in our country, we need you to be Mamala of the country.”

“Yeah,” Harris responded, laughing.

“Drew Barrymore is gaslighting, NO ONE wants Kamala Harris to be ‘Momala’ for the country,” ACT for America chairman Brigitte Gabriel wrote Monday on X.

“Howard Stern refers to Joe Biden as the ‘Father of the Country.’ Drew Barrymore says Kamala needs to be our ‘Momala’. Who exactly is in a cult? These people aren’t looking for a leader they’re looking for surrogate parents,” Fox News host Will Cain wrote.

Author Oli London described, “Drew Barrymore participates in cringe worthy and fawning display with Kamala Harris.”

Per The New York Post:

Drew Barrymore tends to make audiences cringe by how close she sits next to her talk show guests. But this time — it’s because she called Vice President Kamala Harris “Momala.”

The awkward exchange has gone viral days after Harris, 59, appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Monday.

Harris discussed her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, and her family dynamic being a stepmother to his two children, Cole and Ella Emhoff, on the CBS show.

Harris explained that her loved ones call her “Momala” instead of “step.”
