Pentagon Alarmed After CCP Reveals Expansion Of Military Bases To U.S. Backyard

This is an excellent example of ‘treat others how you want to be treated.’

The Pentagon sounded the alarm on the proposed expansion of Chinese military bases into the Caribbean, roughly 220 miles away from the U.S. Virgin Islands.

China’s proposed military bases would reportedly be built in Antigua and Barbuda.

Of course, it is absurd to sound the alarm on this when there are multiple U.S. military bases near China.

Am I pro-China? Absolutely not, but I do understand basic fairness and decency.

We should be firm in not allowing China to buy up assets inside the United States, steal our intellectual property, or subvert our population.

We shouldn’t be threatening or antagonizing China with aggressive military posturing. President Trump had the right idea when it came to a relationship with China. Here’s what is currently being reported:

Newsweek revealed:

Beijing reportedly is considering pursuing military facilities in multiple locations, including—but not limited to—Burma, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Pakistan, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tanzania, and the UAE,” ODNI said in its annual report published on Monday.

Entrepreneur Arnaud Bertrand correctly pointed out the hypocrisy of the federal government:

America: surrounds China with military bases (4 new ones this year alone), multiplies anti-China military alliances (AUKUS, Quad, trilateral US-Japan-SK alliance, asks NATO to go to Asia), sends soldiers & weapons to Taiwan. Then asks: wait, why is China preparing for war?”

Zero Hedge provided this statement from Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne to the news of potential military bases in the country:

“This cold war rhetoric going back to the relationship between the USSR and the USA, they are now trying to create and trying to use this sensational speculation that the PRC (People’s Republic of China) is now trying to use Antigua and Barbuda as a base.

This is utter nonsense, we will never ever enter into any arrangement with any country to hurt another.

Much less to hurt a country like the United States in which we are so dependent on their tourism, we are dependent on their trade and investment.

It will be like hurting ourselves. So protecting the US is protecting our own national interest.”
