Are we looking at the truth, or just more wartime propaganda?
According to sources, a Polish citizen known only as “Paweł K” was arrested by national law enforcement for suspected ties to an alleged Russian plot to assassinate Ukrainian leader Zelensky.
Polish officials claim the suspect was arrested for his willingness to provide information to Russian special forces that would have helped to facilitate the assassination attempt. Daily Mail had more information:
The man was tasked with ‘collecting… military intelligence… with information on the security of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport’ in order to ‘help Russian special services plan a possible attack’ on the Ukrainian leader, Polish prosecutors believe.
Polish authorities worked with their counterparts in Ukraine during the investigation, leading to Paweł K’s detention on Wednesday. The investigation is still ongoing.
From a broader lens, if the assassination attempt was authentic then this is one more troubling development in the growing geopolitical conflict.
World War I broke out after the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. Could such a high-profile assassination spark a global conflict today?
Multiple outlets provided coverage for the alleged assassination attempt against Zelensky:
The Polish national is suspected of supplying information to Russian military intelligence and "helping the Russian special forces to plan a possible assassination attempt" against Zelensky, said a statement from Polish prosecutors.https://t.co/TqirVTNJ9p

On his own initiative, the suspect meant to spy on the security of the Rzeszow airport in Poland, with the intention of helping Russian intelligence services plan a potential assassination of Zelensky during the latter's visit to Poland, the SBU said.
