DEVELOPING: Memphis Police Officer Killed By Teens, Suspect Revealed

One Memphis police officer has been killed and two others injured after a fatal shootout with two teens on Friday morning.

Officer Joseph McKinney was tragically killed by two teens during a shootout at 2 AM on Friday.

Two other police officers were also injured during the shooting, but are in stable condition following the incident.

The suspects have since been revealed as two teenagers. Journalist Collin Rugg had more:

“It gets even more infuriating: One teen involved in the shootout, who was also killed, was arrested by the police back in March.

He was found in a stolen vehicle with “an illegally modified semi-automatic weapon with a Glock switch attached” making it fully automatic.

He was also charged with stealing two other vehicles. He was released at the time without bond. Joseph McKinney should be alive.”

Popular conservative account “I Meme Therefore I Am” provided this update on the suspects: “Jaylen Loble, an 18-year-old suspect dead, second 17 year-old apprehended, remains in the hospital.”

NBC News confirmed:

Both suspects were also transported in critical condition to Regional One, where one suspect, described as an 18-year-old who had been driving the suspect vehicle, died of his wounds, Davis said. His name was not disclosed.

End Wokeness revealed: “Officer Joseph McKinney was shot and kiIIed today in Memphis, TN by Jayden Lobley.

Lobley was just let out of jail on $0 bail after stealing 2 cars & owning an illegal firearm.

Soros DA Stephen Mulroy is in charge of Memphis. He ended cash bail, saying it marginalizes & harms people of color. Soros donated $280k to his campaign.”

CBS News outlined the incident that led to the tragic shooting:

The shooting unfolded when officers responded to the suspicious vehicle call at around 2 a.m., Davis said.

The occupants of the vehicle opened fire on the officers when they approached, Davis said.

Officers returned fire and the suspects drove away, Davis said.

After a short pursuit, the suspect vehicle stopped. One suspect was immediately apprehended, and the other was taken into custody nearby after fleeing the scene.
