Why do these people think we care?
Sen. Lisa Murkowski recently announced that she hasn’t ruled out leaving the GOP if President Trump is re-elected this November.
While this is a typical Murkowski comment, it boggles my mind that she believes this is some sort of palpable threat or a negotiating point.
99.99999% of the MAGA base does not care what happens to Murkowski, with many believing it would be better if she had not existed at all.
Simply put, no one cares if Murkowski leaves. However, what does matter to many conservatives is this rapidly shrinking GOP majority. Here’s what everyone is saying:
Lisa Murkowski repeats she will leave the GOP if Trump is elected. Just retire bi*ch!
IDGAF! She already left as far as I'm concerned!

CNN provided these statements from Murkowski:
Asked if she would become an independent, Murkowski said: “Oh, I think I’m very independent-minded.”
And she added: “I just regret that our party is seemingly becoming a party of Donald Trump.”
Pressed on if that meant she might become an independent, Murkowski said: “I am navigating my way through some very interesting political times. Let’s just leave it at that.”
Joey Mannarino writes: “Lisa Murkowski wants to leave the Republican Party. Lady, you haven’t been a Republican for years. You’re a fake, phony woman who has NO conservative values in your heart.
Your record isn’t that of a conservative, but of a lobbyist-centric fraud. You’re no better than the Whore of Babylon, selling yourself to the highest bidder depending on who the check is coming from on which day! Get out of our party and don’t come back!”

The Hill reminded readers:
Murkowski is one of the party’s most outspoken critics of Trump and was one of seven Republicans who voted to convict the former president in his second impeachment in 2021.
