Wisconsin Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher is the latest GOP RINO to announce his early resignation.
And, he just screwed over the Republican party in a major way…
In a statement, Gallagher says he will be leaving Congress, effective April 19, 2024:

Not only does this leave House Republicans with only a ONE seat majority, but Gallagher carefully timed his resignation to ensure it STAYS that way — until the November election.
If Gallagher left right now, another Republican could fill his seat.
But, since he is waiting, this ensures his seat will be left empty until the November, per Wisconsin law about congressional vacancies during an election year.
Rep. Mike Gallagher has announced he is resigning his Congressional seat effective April 19.
This is calculated. Gallagher could leave now, and allow his safe Republican seat to be filled quickly. Instead, he is deliberately leaving on a timeline that will leave it empty until…

WOW! Like Buck, Mike Gallagher carefully timed his departure. Under Wisconsin law, congressional vacancies occurring "prior to the 2nd Tuesday in April" in an election year get filled on a faster timeline. Why is Mike Gallagher doing this?
Your guess is as good as mine.
But, his name is among the Republicans who just voted to pass the INSANE $1.2 TRILLION spending bill that contains millions of dollars from deceased Sen. Dianne Feinstein, among other absolute wastes of money…

Rep. Mike Gallagher was also one of only 3 Republicans who voted AGAINST the impeachment of Mayorkas.
Ken Buck was one of the others…and he is also set to resign this Friday.
Gallagher’s resignation is extra peculiar, given that he is the chairman of the committee investigation the CCP.
MJTruthUltra on X shared a theory about Gallagher’s calculated resignation:
🚨 Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher will resign early, on April 19
Is it just me… or does anyone else think RINOS are plotting to install Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker?

What do you think?
ABC News has more details:
Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher, who had already announced he would not be seeking reelection, announced Friday that he’s resigning from Congress next month — shrinking House Republicans’ already razor-thin majority even more.
The Wisconsin Republican said his last day will be April 19. His departure will give House Republicans a one-vote majority with 217 Republicans and 213 Democrats.
“I will forever be proud of the work I did on the Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, chairing the Cyberspace Solarium Commission, and chairing the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. It has truly been an honor to serve in the House of Representatives,” Gallagher said in a statement.
As chair of the House Select Committee on China, Gallagher and was the driving force behind recent House-passed legislation that would ban the popular video app TikTok unless it parts ways with its Chinese-owned parent company ByteDance.
Gallagher had previously announced he would not seek reelection shortly after he cast a vote to doom the first attempt to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The Post Millennial added:
The announcement drew ire among conservatives online because if Gallagher were to resign immediately, a Republican could fill the spot.
Instead, Gallagher opted to wait to resign, which will delay an election until November, cutting the Republican majority even slimmer in the House.
With this following the announcement of Ken Buck’s resignation, Republicans in the House will be number 217-213 Democrats. The GOP would only be able to afford losing any votes if the Democrats vote together on an issue.
