Taiwan’s Defense Minister just revealed the unthinkable and the highly irresponsible.
U.S. special forces are reportedly parked off the coast of China—6 miles away from the coast of communist China to be precise.
This is a giant problem and one that would not be ignored by any sovereign government. We wouldn’t appreciate it very much if Chinese military vessels were parked 6 miles away from New York or Miami, would we?
Stationing ships directly next to China’s coast is deeply irresponsible. What the Chinese do with Taiwan is entirely their business—not ours.
Taiwan is not the 51st U.S. state, nor should it be considered for statehood. Taiwan is an Asian country in the South Pacific.
Needless to say, it seems like we are staring down World War III, and the only thing separating us from that reality is 6 short miles off the Chinese coast.
I don’t like China during the best of times, but we shouldn’t go to war with them. Only a fool believes that they can get into fistfights with the entire class and survive that way indefinitely.
We desperately need to heed the words of our Forefathers and stay out of all foreign conflicts. No enemies, no allies. It’s a very simple life with ample reward.
Hopefully, our ‘leaders’ get some sense and decide to end the nonsense. If not, the very future of our country, and the world, is in deep peril. Here’s what we currently know:
U.S. Green Berets to be stationed in Taiwan 6 miles away from mainland China… imagine if China stationed troops in Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. What would the reaction of the United States Government be? pic.twitter.com/dEwvRPz8zB

❗🇺🇸🇹🇼⚔️🇨🇳 – Taiwan confirmed the presence of US troops less than 4 miles from China on the Kinmen Islands, marking a possible escalation in the American military presence in the region.

The Wall Street Journal revealed:
The defense minister, Chiu Kuo-cheng, didn’t offer details of the U.S. deployment, but the outlying islands include Kinmen, which sits 3 miles east of the Chinese coastal city of Xiamen and more than 100 miles from Taiwan’s main island.
“This exchange is for mutual observation, to identify the problems we have, figure out how to improve and to recognize their strengths so we can learn from them,” Chiu said Thursday in response to questions about U.S. troops on Taiwan’s outlying islands.
Former Under Secretary of Defense Robert Wilkie stated: “The presence of U.S. troops in Taiwan is really going to give the world pause.”

US Green Beret Presence on Taiwan’s Outer Islands Signals Expanded Military Cooperation: Experts
U.S. Army Special Forces personnel are training Taiwanese troops on the islands of Kinmen and Penghu, Taiwan’s defense minister confirmed last Thursday.https://t.co/5hvKILDdP9

Daily Mail added:
Coastal islands such as Kinmen are scarcely populated, and are primarily where most of Taiwan’s amphibious forces are positioned – which may now be bolstered by US Special Forces.
Without international support, experts believe Taiwan would have little ability to combat the Chinese military might, a factor that Chiu alluded to.
