Recent Motion From Alvin Bragg Suggests His Case Is In Trouble

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case is not nearly as solid as he had hoped.

The District Attorney has filed for a 30-day delay of the start of the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ case due to 73,000 pages of new material that has come to the attention of Bragg’s office.

Recall that the Southern District of New York previously declined to prosecute this case—there was a reason for this.

This entire case hinges on the testimony of Michael Cohen, a convicted liar and a professional witness lacking any credibility.

Make no mistake, Bragg isn’t asking for a delay in reviewing these documents; Bragg is asking for a delay because the documents already show something he doesn’t like—something that has thrown a wrench in his case.

Is this all that surprising though? One must reap what they sow, and building an entire case off of the testimony of a proven liar is never a good tactic. Here is the full motion from Bragg’s office:

Daily Mail reports:

The trial over claims the former president, 77, falsified records to cover up payments to porn star Stormy Daniels was due to begin on March 25.

But the start date could now be pushed back due to a recent disclosure of thousands of pages of new documents by federal prosecutors that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s team and Trump’s defense attorneys must sort through.

Jack Posobiec speculated: “DA Alvin Bragg’s sudden announcement that he wants a delay in Trump’s NYC case is bc SDNY just released 73,000 docs in the case that they didn’t charge federally. SDNY passed bc of the lack of credibility of Michael Cohen. Something made Bragg slam on the brakes.”

Newsweek added:

Trump’s defense team accused Bragg in their filing last week of “widespread misconduct” by attempting to delay the production of records that would assist the former president, including by suppressing “voluminous exculpatory evidence relating to Michael Cohen.”
