“Just let them steal your car…”
That’s essentially what police in Toronto, Canada are telling residents to do to in order to prevent their homes from being burglarized.
Amid growing rates of auto theft and home invasion in the city, Toronto police are now instructing residents to leave their car keys at the front door so that criminals don’t have to break in and steal them.
That’s right.
Just make it easier for the criminals. That way, they won’t rob your house as well as your vehicle.
Sounds reasonable, right?

This is what happens when police departments go WOKE.
Toronto police suggest doing nothing to stop burglaries and to make things easier on the burglar.

Underneath PM Justin Trudeau, car theft has shot up 300% in Canada…
Since Trudeau became Prime Minister of Canada in 2015, auto thefts have skyrocketed 300%, prompting Toronto police to advise law abiding citizens to make their car keys more easily accessible and avoid being assaulted during a break and enter.#canada | #crime | #trudeau |… pic.twitter.com/AR1piSKurc

It’s notable that the police officer in the clip pointed out that the criminals “we’re arresting have guns on them and they’re not toy guns. They’re real guns. They’re loaded.”
But, how can that be?
Given that Canada disarmed its citizens?
Hmm…it’s almost like gun control doesn’t work…and criminals still have guns while law-abiding citizens lose the means to protect themselves…
Toronto police have a new strategy for dealing with home invasions:
Just leave your car keys at the front door and let the criminals take whatever they want.

Global News has more on Toronto police’s ‘advice’ for preventing home robberies:
A Toronto police officer suggested that residents leave their car keys by the front door to avoid a home invasion, seemingly to let criminals steal their vehicle if they break in, leave and avoid injuries.
The Toronto Police Service issued a statement Wednesday confirming that an officer made the remarks at a recent community meeting.
The officer suggested “that people leave the keys to their vehicle in a faraday bag by the front door,” the statement said.
“While well meaning, there are also other ways to prevent auto theft motivated home invasions,” it continued.
Faraday bags block signal-duplicating devices used to replicate key fobs which criminals can use to steal vehicles.
In Toronto, home invasions and break-ins for auto thefts rose 400 per cent last year, the Toronto Police Service said.
At a Etobicoke community meeting, Const. Marco Ricciardi is heard saying, “To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at your front door.”

Toronto Star also reported:
At a community town hall in Etobicoke in late February, Const. Marco Ricciardi advised Etobicoke residents to “leave your FOBs at your front door” so they’re easier for thieves to find.
“If they’re breaking into your home to steal your car, they don’t want anything else,” Ricciardi said in a clip shared by CityNews. “A lot of them that we’re arresting have guns on them and they’re not toy guns. They’re real guns. They’re loaded.”
Ricciardi also suggested varying driving habits, like coming home by a different route or backing into the driveway instead of pulling in.
“If I watch you three or four days, am I going to pick up your habits?” Ricciardi said. “If that is, try to vary them a little bit.”
