Remember the OceanGate submarine implosion?
The small submersible craft, which imploded during what was supposed to be a routine expedition, claimed the lives of five people in 2023.
Now, audio from inside the submarine and comments made by former OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush have resurfaced and are circulating online.
In the audio, the ominous and chilling knocks from the crew can be heard.
Moreover, Stockton Rush’s comments shortly before the expedition took off have once again come into sharper focus.
Rush was among those in the submersible when it tragically imploded.
Rush told interviewers shortly before the voyage that he purposefully did not hire ’50-year-old white guys with military experience’. Here is all the resurfaced audio:

People Magazine featured more of Stockton Rush’s comments:
During an interview with St John’s Radio in Canada, which is included in the doc, Rush joked about the upcoming excursion by saying, “What could go wrong?”
During the interview he also mentioned they chose to have the expedition in June because that’s when waters around the Titanic were “calmest.”
One account posted this startling quote from the former OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush: “I didn’t hire 50-year-old white guys with military experience,” as they weren’t considered “inspirational.”

According to The Huffington Post:
The resurfaced clip comes months after one of Rush’s friends revealed that the CEO “definitely knew it was going to end like this” regarding the sub.
“The only question in my mind — the only question is — ‘when?’” Karl Stanley told “60 Minutes Australia” last year.
