Tucker Carlson Warns Against TikTok Ban: “Just So You Know What’s Coming In 2025”

“Just so you know what’s coming in 2025…”

Amid anti-TikTok legislation moving forward in the House, Tucker Carlson has issued a warning as to the true nature of the bill — titled the ‘Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.’

In a post on X, Tucker pointed out that the legislation would allow the federal government to force the sale of any social media platform that interferes in elections” under the guise of protecting national security.

The bill to ban TikTok includes language that would allow for websites and apps that pose a threat to national security to be sold forcibly.

Per AP:

TikTok once again finds itself in a precarious position.

This time, it comes in the form of legislation that would ban the popular social media platform if it doesn’t break ties with ByteDance, its Beijing-based parent company.

On Thursday, a House panel unanimously approved a bipartisan bill that would require the Chinese firm to divest TikTok and other applications it owns within six months of the bill’s enactment in order to avoid a nation-wide ban. The legislation also creates a process that lets the executive branch prohibit access to other apps that pose a threat to national security.

As Tucker Carlson rightfully pointed out, this could include so-called “election interference.”

No wonder the bill passed unanimously and Biden is so eager to sign…

Rep. Thomas Massie has also warned that the TikTok ban bill is nothing more than a Trojan Horse…

The bill is set to head to a House floor vote sometime this week.

CBS News reported on Biden’s readiness to sign the legislation if it passes through Congress:

President Biden said Friday he would sign legislation that could lead to a ban of TikTok, an immensely popular video-sharing app that is owned by the China-based company ByteDance.

“If they pass it, I’ll sign it,” Mr. Biden, whose 2024 campaign recently joined the app, told reporters.

The bill, known as the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, would require ByteDance to sell TikTok within six months or be banned from U.S. app stores and web-hosting services if it does not cut ties.

It’s slated to get a vote on the House floor next week, according to House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, who called the measure a “critical national security bill.”

House lawmakers have moved quickly on the legislation. It was introduced on Tuesday and advanced out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Thursday.

You know who doesn’t support the Tik Tok ban bill?

President Trump:
