Special Counsel Hur Defends Biden Mental Assessment, “I did not sanitize my explanation.”

During a hearing with the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday, Special Counsel Robert Hur answered questions about his report concerning Biden’s mishandling of classified documents.

Hur had previously asserted that a jury would see Biden as a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”

He doubled down on that assessment in front of the committee.

Hur’s report and testimony are the legal proof that Biden needs to be led; he isn’t capable of leading.

That Sleepy Joe’s mental health even has to be questioned is absurd.

Anyone with eyes can see he can barely walk on his own.

Somehow, according to the left, Biden is simultaneously mentally fit enough to run the country, but not enough to be charged for mishandling classified documents.

But the Democrats will stick up for him no matter how hard he fails.

USA Today had more on Hur’s testimony:

Democrats decried Hur’s depiction of Biden as an elderly man with “diminished capacities” and memory loss issues. Many argued the characterization was inappropriate and politically motivated, noting that Hur was the principal associate deputy attorney general at the Justice Department under Trump, who later appointed him to the by the U.S. attorney for the Maryland district.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur as special counsel to retain the independence of the Justice Department in the investigation.

Speaking to lawmakers Tuesday, Hur said he needed to show why he chose not to charge Biden, which made his evaluation of the president’s “state of mind” relevant to the report.

The description in the report “was necessary and accurate and fair,” he said. “I did not sanitize my explanation. Nor did I disparage the president unfairly.”
