Fani Willis‘ lawyer, Adam Abbate, was recently grilled by presiding Judge McAfee during his closing arguments.
Abbate claimed that the complaint against Willis was not correct in its interpretation of the law and proceeded with his ridiculous argument from there.
Immediately, Judge McAfee shut down Abbate’s argument and asked him: “Let’s go back to that. Show me how. Certainly a conflict of interest or the appearance of impropriety may be the grounds for disqualification.”
Abbate then froze up and appeared to have trouble answering the Judge’s question—he went completely blank for a second or two.
Following the awkward pause, Abbate attempted to justify his argument, albeit poorly. Watch the moment it happened below:

Big Fani Willis is on the brink of getting disqualified from Trump’s case down in Georgia.

According to CBS News:
Abbate said there has been “absolutely no evidence that the district attorney has benefited at all,” or would benefit in the future, from the prosecution of the case.
Writer and lawyer Gregg Re pointed out: “Fani Willis’ office is so sloppy that their slide during closing arguments has two number 1’s. Also the legal citation is completely wrong — 170 is the page where the case begins, so the following number must be higher. Two major errors on one slide wtf.”

NBC News provided this update on the case:
The judge said at the end of the over three-hour hearing that it’s “been very much made clear by the argument made today there are several legal issues to sort through” and “several factual determinations I have to make.”
“I will be taking the time to make sure I give this case the full consideration it is due. I hope to have an answer for everyone within the next two weeks,” McAfee said.
