Jack Smith Moves To Hide Critical Evidence

Jack Smith is almost synonymous with a lack of transparency at this point.

The prosecutor wants to censor, or otherwise keep hidden, the FBI interviews in the ongoing classified documents investigation into President Trump.

I might sound like a broken record, but transparency is everything. If someone is completely unwilling to be transparent then I can assume one of two things about them and their intentions.

One: they are a liar, two: their intentions are unjust, and this is why they keep secrets.

Jack Smith’s investigation, although bogus, is one of the most high-profile investigations in American history. The public interest far outweighs the need for secrecy.

The reactions to Smith’s lack of transparency from concerned citizens and lawmakers alike were overwhelmingly negative:

The Epoch Times explained:

On Tuesday, Mr. Smith’s team wrote that the court should limit those FBI transcripts “to specific pages and portions related to proposition for which defense cites to exhibit, incorporating the Government’s proposed redactions to those pages.”

Grand jury testimony and other FBI interviews should be entirely blocked from public view, Mr. Smith’s prosecutors added.

In the filing, his team listed more than 20 sets of court documents that have to be completed sealed, redacted, or completely redacted.

Previously, Judicial Watch called out Jack Smith for his lack of transparency: “Special Prosecutor Jack Smith isn’t above the law and the American people have the right to basic transparency and accountability about who is working on his anti-Trump investigation.”
