Their one-on-one meeting adds fuel to the fire of speculation that Noem will be chosen as Trump’s running mate for 2024.

In the midst of growing speculation and heightened anticipation that she’ll be Donald Trump’s running mate, Gov. Kristi Noem is meeting with the former president and GOP front runner at his Mar-a-Lago home Monday afternoon.
The governor’s office confirmed to The Dakota Scout Monday that the second term Republican extended her out-of-state trip through the weekend after being a keynote speaker at the annual Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference in Maryland. She will meet with Trump in a one-on-one meeting at the president’s primary residence.
According to a poll conducted at CPAC, Kristi Noem tied with Vivek Ramaswamy as the preferred pick among those rumored to be on Trump’s VP shortlist.
She also has the highest favorability among potential VP candidates, according to a Kaplan Strategies Wisconsin poll.
The Daily Caller noted:
Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who is rumored to be on the shortlist for Vice President, met Monday with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, a source familiar told the Daily Caller.
A new Kaplan Strategies Wisconsin poll released on February 23, shows Noem is the preferred pick to be Trump’s running mate. Trump has reportedly been considering Noem and a list of others to be his running mate. According to that poll, Noem had the highest favorability rating, with 39 percent of voters saying they have a very or somewhat favorable view of her.
