UFC Champion Sean Strickland: “Trump’s People Are My People”

UFC champion Sean Strickland met President Trump in Las Vegas this weekend.

The two had a conversation before posing for a photo-op together:

Afterwards, Strickland had only kind things to say about Trump.

Strickland said that Trump is, “actually a really solid guy. I didn’t know if I would like Donald Trump but … [he’s] really authentic, really authentic. Yeah, really nice. You know, I think that I need to run a rally for Trump.”

He went on to say, “I love the people. I feel like Trump’s people are my people, you know?” before going on to compare Trump and Biden,

“What I like about Trump, though, there’s no boogeyman. There’s no … at his rallies, it’s America first. But there’s no black vs. white, there’s none of that. All he says is we’re Americans and that’s something I really fucking find refreshing. Because you go with Biden and … every time Biden talks it’s black vs. white, it’s this vs. that. It’s just nice to be reminded that we’re all Americans.”

Strickland expanded on his high opinion of Trump in this X post:

And, President Trump gave a shout-out to Strickland during a speech he gave in Las Vegas:

MMA Mania commented on Strickland’s meeting with Trump:

There was magic in the air when former President of the United States, Donald Trump, and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight kingpin, Sean Strickland, came face-to-face in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this week.

Trump — who is making the rounds as he prepares to run for president again later this year — was in “Sin City” and somehow ended up in a back room full of social media influencers and a former UFC champion. The former POTUS and Strickland didn’t chop it up too much, but they squared off for an unexpected staredown.

It was like two worlds colliding at once — both Trump and Strickland are two of the most outspoken people in their respective professions.

Sean Strickland has been slammed for speaking out against the LGBTQ community and condemning ‘transgenderism.’

Strickland has been in the national spotlight recently after using a UFC press conference to go on an obscene rant about gay and trans people. While he’s facing intense backlash for his comments on the LGBTQ community, UFC president Dana White has remained adamant that the middleweight fighter will suffer no consequences for it.

“Ten years ago, to be trans was a mental fucking illness; and now, all of sudden, people like you have fucking weaseled your way in the world. You are an infection. You are the definition of weakness. Everything that is wrong with the world is because of fucking you,” Strickland told a reporter in January.

On Thursday, Strickland and Trump got together while the former president was enjoying his near-unanimous victory in the Nevada Republican Caucus. The two men squared up with one another for a photo the same way professional fighters do for promotional material.
