Trump Warns Democrats Will Change Pennsylvania’s Name If He’s Not Elected President

President Trump warned the crowd of NRA members on Friday that Democrats will change the name of Pennsylvania if he doesn’t win the 2024 election.

Trump told the large crowd, “We’re not going to have Pennsylvania. They’ll change the name,” Trump said. “They’re going to change the name of Pennsylvania.”

He continued, “That’s one even I thought was safe. Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, their names are now in danger.”

Trump’s comments come a month after the Bidena admin attempted to remove a William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania,  statue from a Philadelphia park.

Trump’s comments are not so farfetched, considering when Democrat lawmakers and city officials were tearing down Confederate statues, Trump predicted they would tear down Jefferson, Lincoln, and Washington statues next, and that’s exactly what happened in some states.

Here’s what Yahoo News reported:

Donald Trump warned National Rifle Association members Friday that Democrats would change the name of Pennsylvania if their party wins at the polls in November.

The former president, during an hour-plus speech in Harrisburg, reflected on his election victory in the state back in 2016 before declaring that his 2024 campaign to retake the White House must be victorious.

“Or we’re not going to have Pennsylvania. They’ll change the name,” Trump said. “They’re going to change the name of Pennsylvania.”

Trump also mentioned efforts in the U.S. to reexamine naming things after historical figures, such as schools named for George Washington.

“That’s one even I thought was safe. Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, their names are now in danger,” he said.

Trump’s claim about Pennsylvania comes roughly one month after headlines about the National Park Service’s proposal to remove a statue of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, from a park in Philadelphia.

Per The New Jersey Monitor:

Speaking at the National Rifle Association’s annual outdoor recreation show Friday in Harrisburg, former President Donald Trump delivered a simple but powerful message to a crowd of thousands of shooting and hunting enthusiasts.

“Your Second Amendment will always be safe with me as your president,” Trump said in his first 2024 appearance in Pennsylvania. “When I’m back in the Oval Office, no one will lay a finger on your firearms. Not gonna happen.”

In his familiar rambling and digressive style, Trump jumped from topic to topic – immigration, energy, electric cars, the poor quality of highway medians in the nation’s capital – but returned to Second Amendment rights and gun ownership a number of times during the 80-minute speech.

Trump told the audience that he appointed hundreds of federal judges, whom he characterized as “conservative originalists” to “interpret the Constitution as written.” And he warned that another Biden administration would mean hundreds of “radical left judges waging a crusade against law abiding gun owners.”
