Hur Report: Democrats Back Biden, Condemn ‘Politically Motivated’ Special Counsel

Looks like that Hur report told the normies what we all knew.

And that is, that Biden’s an old man with a terrible memory.

Well the report doesn’t look good at all so naturally it has the Biden’s regime freaking out and in defense mode, trying to shield him from prosecutor Robert Hur’s scrutiny.

Now this prosecutor could’ve actually done some prosecuting.

He could’ve slapped Biden with charges for his document storage techniques, but he lets that slide.

The curious thing is, it was Merrick Garland who decided to let the public see this report.

This crazy sitcom of a political theater we’re all watching keeps adding new twists by the day.

NBC News reports:

Democrats on Friday defended President Joe Biden and rebuked the special counsel who investigated Biden’s handling of classified documents as a Republican prosecutor with a political agenda.

In his report, Hur declined to file charges against Biden for the way he stored classified documents at his home and personal office after he was vice president. But Hur’s report also said Biden presented himself in interviews with investigators “as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and noted several instances in which the president had trouble recalling specific dates.

ice President Kamala Harris on Friday told reporters at a gun violence prevention event in Washington that the report was “inaccurate and inappropriate.”

“The way that the President’s demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts,” she said, adding, “And clearly politically motivated, gratuitous.”

“That’s 350 pages to just say that Joe Biden isn’t going to be indicted here, too. It was just a smear and cheap shots and just taking things out of context, or even just inventing,” Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., told reporters on a Biden-Harris campaign call about gun violence Friday.

“You don’t need 350 pages to say that … so clearly there was an agenda there,” Fetterman added.

While Hur does not serve in a partisan capacity, he was appointed by Trump in 2017 to serve as a U.S. attorney for the District of Maryland. Before that, he worked in the Justice Department during the Trump administration as principal counselor to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Jim Messina, who ran President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, appeared to respond directly to the “elderly man with a poor memory” reference, which some Biden critics seized on.

Politico added:

The White House is livid over the Justice Department’s release of a special counsel report that painted a devastating portrait of Joe Biden. But Attorney General Merrick Garland’s decision to release it was a foregone conclusion — and anything short of publicizing the full report would have been worse.

Technically, the report from special counsel Robert Hur on Biden’s mishandling of classified documents is considered confidential under DOJ rules. Hur even labeled it as such.

In practice, though, burying or censoring the report would have been untenable, former Justice Department leaders say.

They described a high-stakes calculus for both Garland and Hur informed by previous politically sensitive investigations: Special counsel reports have always been made public in recent years, and Garland would have been slammed by Republicans and the press if he tried to keep this one under wraps. Hur, meanwhile, clearly understood that political reality, so the harsh language he included was exactly what he expected the public to see.

The result on Thursday was a public 345-page document, bearing the Justice Department’s imprimatur, that described the president as embarrassingly, and perhaps dangerously, forgetful. Hur’s allies say he needed to include the details about Biden’s mental state because such judgments are critical to decisions about whether to prosecute for these sorts of crimes.

“Rob Hur didn’t issue a public report,” Rod Rosenstein said, (Barr’s former deputy). “He wrote a confidential internal memo. Attorney General Garland made the decision to release it.”

And don’t forget this little gem.

Curious that Hur didn’t want to charge Biden with obstruction:

Is it time to invoke the 25th Amendment?

With the Hur report, it just might be.

And perhaps that’s exactly what the Democrats want.

So, the question is who do you think they want to replace Biden with?
