A former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar spoke out about the drastic steps taken to reduce 280 lbs of muscle after deciding to medically transition into a woman in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“I was a guy who dreadlocks down to my butt. I’d shaved the side of my head. I looked like a cross between Ragnar Lothbrok and the Mountain from Game of Thrones with tattoos. You couldn’t miss me. Then I was walking up and down the street in heels and women’s clothes,” the retired professional wrestler, Gabbi Tuft (@gabbituft), said.
Tuft, 45, was known at WWE for the ring name “Tyler Reks.”
ADVERTISEMENT“At my biggest, I was 280 pounds at 6.2% body fat. I ate about 10,000 calories a day. I’d eat between 9 and 10 times a day, about every hour and a half. It was a chore… [to consume] sometimes 300g of protein a day,” Tuft said.
“It is literally a full-time job. You eat, you sleep, you breathe, the gym,” Tuft, who currently counsels people on how to reach their fitness and nutrition goals, said.
Most people believe they need to be in the gym for hours to achieve their desired fitness level and look. However, Tuft described being able to become shredded in two hours at the gym most days.
A lot of weight loss and fitness is a mental game, according to Tuft.
Folks on social media have not been kind to the news of the once ‘alpha male’ now becoming a woman:

The Daily Mail shares more about Gabbi Tuft’s desire to reenter the ring:
Three years after coming out as a transgender woman in February 2021, the 45-year-old Tuft publicly expressed a desire to return to the ring on social media.
ADVERTISEMENTTuft has nearly a million followers on TikTok and a recent video shows her in the ring performing her former finishing move, the ‘Burning Hammer’, in a side-by-side with when she executed the slam as Reks.
On Wednesday, she posted a shot to Instagram captioned ‘Mother is Coming’, showing herself standing inside a wrestling ring with current WWE superstar Natalya.
Tuft has been training at ‘The Dungeon 2.0’ ran by Natalya and her husband TJ Wilson, who was known in WWE as Tyson Kidd before retiring in 2017 due to injury.
Natalya posted a photo to her Instagram Thursday at her training facility with Tuft alongside around a dozen others, including current WWE superstars Angelo Dawkins, Carlito, and Ashante Adonis.
WWE’s recent ‘Royal Rumble’ event was held in Florida and the WWE Performance Center is located in Orlando.
If the WWE re-signs with Gabbi Tuft, do you think they will compete with Women or Men?
This topic is quite controversial, and I think that they know this.
They are an influencer now, and this move will bring them more attention.
