Trump Gets Legal Win! Will Remain On Illinois Primary Ballot

Chalk up another win!

As persistent as the Democrats are at trying to remove Trump from the ballot, Trump keeps overcoming their attempts and remains.

And in the process they help more normies wake up, seeing how unfairly he is being treated.

Right Side Broadcasting Network reports:

President Donald Trump enjoyed another victory on Tuesday when the Illinois State Board of Elections voted to keep him on the state’s 2024 primary ballot amid an onslaught of cases attempting to remove him.

President Donald Trump acknowledged the decision on Truth Social. He wrote, “Thank you to the Illinois State Board of Elections for ruling 8-0 in protecting the Citizens of our Country from the Radical Left Lunatics who are trying to destroy it.”

He added, “The VOTE was in 8-0 in favor of keeping your favorite President (ME!), on the Ballot. I love Illinois. Make America Great Again!”

Former Judge Clark Erickson wrote in his recommendation following a hearing with Free Speech for People and Trump’s attorneys: “Illinois law, including the Supreme Court decisions of Goodman and Delgado prohibit the Election Board from addressing issues involving constitutional analysis.”

This week, President Trump also won a big victory in Massachusetts, where Supreme Judicial Court Justice Frank Gaziano denied a petition that was asking for Trump to be deemed ineligible to appear on the state’s 2024 primary ballot.

NBC adds:

After brief arguments last week, a hearing officer for the Illinois board said it should be up to the courts, rather than election officials, to decide Trump’s eligibility because of the complicated constitutional issues involved. But the opinion from Clark Erickson, a retired judge and a Republican, concluded that a “preponderance of the evidence” presented proved that Trump engaged in insurrection and should be barred from the ballot.

The board’s general counsel, meanwhile, argued that the Board of Elections does have the jurisdiction to decide the case, and should rule that Trump should stay on the ballot.

Before the board voted Tuesday, a lawyer for the objectors behind the petition, Matthew J. Piers, said that there is “no question under the law” that “this board not only has the authority to determine an objection, based on the U.S. Constitution, but indeed you have the clear, mandatory duty to do so.”

Josh Hawley sums it up.

What we’re witnessing is simply election interference.
