As Nikki Haley’s hopes for securing the GOP nomination for president are quickly fading, rumors are beginning to swirl regarding who Trump’s pick for a running mate may be.
One name that emerged recently was none other than Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is currently running for the oval office as an independent.
REPORT: A Trump and RFK Jr. 2024 ticket could be a possibility after a new report claims the Trump Team reached out to RFK about serving as VP
Wow.
"Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature," a source said.
The pair recently agreed… pic.twitter.com/xCDyuVxYCz

The idea is that RFK Jr. joining Trump’s presidential ticket would likely have some appeal to independent voters.
It’s an intriguing prospect that has been met with mixed responses.
Some are ecstatic at the prospect of a “unity” ticket.
THANK YOU!
I’ve only been screaming it from the rooftops for months now.
It’s the unity ticket. And it’s the two men who have been attacked by the media and the government more than anyone else.
And we can’t risk splitting the vote to help Biden. They should join forces.

I don’t like the liberal tendencies, but I like this ticket. When people finally wake to the fact that this is no longer a left/right battle, we will unite as a people against the global elites, who want us divided. It’s Us vs Them, no longer Left v. Right.

Many consider a Trump/RFK Jr. ticket to be a lock for winning the 2024 election.
If he agreed to it, this would be a winning ticket.
It’d draw in enough Dems to overcome the never Trump republicans.
Sign the paperwork.

💯 chance of winning with that combo
While many of the other MAGA names being thrown around, NONE get additional votes that Trump wouldn't get on his own.

Others are skeptical, if not completely unenthusiastic, about a democrat joining Trump’s ticket.
No way in heck Trump picks RFK. He’s a Democrat regardless of his anti-vax positions.
If he ever assumed the role of President in Trump’s absence that would be a disaster.
Don’t do it Trump!

I don't like the idea of RFK Jr. being Trump’s VP. He is a Democrat. Trump thinks by having RFK on the ticket he can reach the more independent voters. I'm not convinced this would be the case.

Any criticism of RFK Jr. aside, it’s hard to believe that a ticket with his name on it wouldn’t pull in a significant number of votes from independents that are on the fence.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
More on this development from the New York Post:
People close to former President Trump made preliminary overtures to Robert F. Kennedy about the possibility of serving as his running mate, The Post has learned.
ADVERTISEMENT“Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature,” said one person familiar with the matter, adding that it was “right out of the box when Bobby announced” in April 2023 he was running for president.
“Anything’s possible. I wouldn’t write it off by any means,” the insider continued.
Kennedy, 70, who initially was running as a Democrat but is now an independent, wasn’t interested and has continued to shoot down speculation that he would ever take a job as Trump’s veep.
