What If Trump’s VP Is — Mike Pence? Hear Me Out…

Speculation is running wild about who President Trump will pick for his Vice President.

I know who my top choices are, but honestly I don’t know what he’s thinking…

Let’s take a look at some of the candidates and I’d love to hear who your top choice is before we dig into my thoughts:

It looks like it won’t be DeSantis, at least not according to what President Trump just said today:

He’s also made it clear it won’t be Nikki Haley (thank goodness!):

And Sarah Huckabee Sanders has came right out and said she doesn’t want it:

So we are narrowing the field.

But it was when he said this that it really caught my eye:

And I got to thinking….who would I NOT be surprised about?

Honestly at this point I’d be surprised by almost anyone.

I don’t see a clear front-runner, do you?

I know Elise Stefanik is in the running and so is Kristi Noem.

I mention those two because there is a lot of speculation President Trump will chose a woman.

We know there is no love lost with Kim Reynolds, so she’s not in the running.

Kari Lake would be my top choice, but she seems set on her Senate campaign.

Then we have Vivek, who about half of you like and the other half don’t trust, but to be fair he’s one of the only candidates in the running who has proudly declared himself to be America-First and proudly MAGA.  So he’s got a shot.

But back to what President Trump said up above….”People won’t be all that surprised.”

Something about the way he put that sent my mind down a rabbit hole….who would I not be surprised about?

And then it hit me: Trump is essentially an incumbent, right?

And an incumbent always has the same VP, right?

*Almost always.

As it turns out, there have been seven instances where an incumbent President took a different VP for his second term:

  1. Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809) had Aaron Burr as his Vice President during his first term and George Clinton during his second term.
  2. James Madison (1809-1817) also had George Clinton as his Vice President during his first term and Elbridge Gerry during his second term.
  3. Abraham Lincoln (1861-1865) had Hannibal Hamlin as his Vice President during his first term and Andrew Johnson during his second term.
  4. Ulysses S. Grant (1869-1877) had Schuyler Colfax as his Vice President in his first term and Henry Wilson in his second term.
  5. William McKinley (1897-1901) had Garret Hobart as his Vice President during his first term, who died in office, and then Theodore Roosevelt as his Vice President in his second term before McKinley’s assassination.
  6. Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945), who served four terms, had John N. Garner during his first two terms, Henry A. Wallace during his third term, and Harry S. Truman during his fourth term.
  7. Richard Nixon (1969-1974) had Spiro Agnew as his Vice President during his first term, who resigned in 1973, and then Gerald Ford as his Vice President during his second term.

But I still think the LEAST surprising thing would be for President Trump to have the same VP.

Oh I know Pence appears to be a weak, spineless traitor, and perhaps he is.  In fact, we have no real evidence to the contrary.  Pence is widely hated and I’m right there with you.  Unless….we have been watching a movie and Pence just played his role?

I’m not saying it’s likely, but if we are watching “Central Casting” as President Trump says so often, and if “The Pause” is real which we have covered many times, then perhaps when all is revealed does Pence reclaim his White Hat?

Stranger things have happened!

I’m just letting my imagination wander a bit and tying together all the things President Trump has said, but I do think “The Pause” is real — President Trump has referred to it many times.

With each new speech, President Trump is becoming more explicit in what he reveals to us.

He’s previously hinted about “going away for a while” and “we will be back” and “The Pause”.

But those have always been fleeting comments.

Yesterday, he went into much more detail about “The Pause”.

Folks…how much more clearly can he say it?

This was all planned long in advance and is advanced warfare.

Very high stakes.

So in my original article, I argued that perhaps President Trump has been telling us the truth all along and we just haven’t noticed it.

The truth about what?
