DEVELOPING: Multiple Oil Tankers Start Inferno In New Hampshire


Emergency crews responded after multiple oil tankers reportedly caught on fire in Epping, New Hampshire, Saturday evening.

“Currently, multiple emergency personnel, along with hazmat crews, are on the scene of a massive four-alarm fire in Epping, New Hampshire. The fire involves at least four oil tankers that have caught on fire, spreading to other tankers and causing large explosions. As of now, no evacuations have been issued, but there are reports of thick, heavy black smoke that can be seen visible miles away,” Rawsalerts wrote.

Firefighters battled a multi-alarm fire that involved multiple oil tankers in Epping, authorities say.

The 5-alarm fire is at a North Atlantic Services on Depot Road in Epping. There are 12 fire departments on the scene and it will take 5 to 6 more hours to contain it, authorities say.

The fire could go up to 6-alarms, authorities said. There are no reported injuries.

“Our firefighters have responded with mutual aid to this scene at 76 Depot Road in Epping involving multiple oil tankers reported on fire,” the Exeter Fire Department wrote.

The Fire Department later posted several more photos of the scene, adding that firefighters from multiple communities were assisting.

The fire started at North Atlantic Services, a New Hampshire-based company that offers snow plowing, fuel delivery and landscape services, WMUR-TV reported.
