BREAKING: Huge Explosion Occurs In Downtown Fort Worth, Texas


The Fort Worth Fire Department is addressing a massive explosion at the Sandman Hotel on Monday afternoon.

MedStar reported that a gas leak caused the explosion.

There are currently 11 people injured from the blast,  one of which is in critical condition.

All offices in the downtown area in Fortworth are currently shut down.

The Fort Worth Fire Department is responding to a gas explosion at the Sandman Hotel on Houston St. Monday afternoon.

According to MedStar, there are as many as 11 patients. One patient is reported as critically injured and two are seriously injured.

Fort Worth Police said a Family Reunification Area is being established at Sundance Square, 420 Main Street.

All Tarrant County offices in downtown are now closed.

ABC added these details:

Fort Worth, Texas, firefighters and police are responding to what officials are calling a “major incident.”

“We are currently working a Major Incident. Please avoid the downtown area,” the Fort Worth Police Department posted on X.

Firefighters were seen going through the debris from the incident, which was spread across the street and included windows and parts of the building’s exterior.
