Why would the Pentagon hide this information from the American people?
According to reports, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has been in a hospital since New Year’s Day, but we are just now learning of the Secretary of Defense’s condition.
The Pentagon claims that Austin was hospitalized due to complications from a routine surgery; Austin is also fully ‘vaccinated’ against COVID-19.
Spokespeople for the Pentagon claim that Lloyd is recovering well and will be able to resume his duties today. Of course, the question remains: why did they wait until now to tell us? Here’s what is currently being reported:

The Epoch Times explained the significant role Austin plays:
Mr. Austin, 70, sits just below President Joe Biden at the top of the chain of command of the U.S. military.
ADVERTISEMENTHis duties require his availability at a moment’s notice to address various national security crises.
Breitbart’s Pentagon correspondent Kristina Wong shared this letter from members of the mainstream media and highlighted this quote: “The fact that…the Pentagon is only now alerting the public late on a Friday evening is an outrage.”

National Review had more:
According to several outlets, the Pentagon has refused to comment on whether the former head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) was in critical condition or unconscious at any time during his five-day hospitalization.
Responding to a request for comment from The Messenger, Ryder chalked up the delayed announcement to the “evolving situation.”
