“Too bad, go to jail.”
That’s what Chris Christie had to say in response to being asked if he would give President Trump a pardon…
Appearing on The View, Christie was asked by Joy Behar if (in the extremely unlikely case he were ever elected president…) he would pardon Trump, as Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley have both said they would do.
Christie started responding, “No, no, no, no,” before Behar even finished getting the question out of her mouth. He went on to say that it would be “the easiest pardon decision.”
“As a governor, I issued pardons,” Christie explained,
“And one of the things you have to do is look at the person. The person has to accept responsibility for what they did. Do you think Donald Trump will ever accept responsibility for anything he did?”
Watch for yourself here:
Chris Christie says he will NOT pardon Trump for his crimes: “No [Trump] has to accept responsibility for what they did … It would be the easiest pardon decision I would ever have to make as president. You don't accept responsibility too bad, go to jail.”pic.twitter.com/C6TLD4npGD

Chris Christie supports using the Fourteenth Amendment to try Trump. How is he any different from the Soros-backed Democrats?
“I think they should try him and convict him in Washington DC and send him to jail for it—and I think that’s the way to do it.” pic.twitter.com/dfdPfJErdA

What do you make of this?
I say, let bitter ‘Crispy’ Christie daydream about playing president and refusing to pardon Trump…
He is only polling at around 3%, on a good day, after all.
Folks on X seem to agree:
Not to worry Crispy Christie: NOT gonna happen (you becoming POTUS, that is)

Christie won't be president. He knows as much. People like him simply love to be in the limelight and enjoy the attention. Pay him no mind.

Chris Christie won't have to worry about pardon power because the only presidency he may win is the Donut Lovers of New Jersey Club presidency.

The Hill has more to say on the Christie’s comments:
GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie said he would not issue a pardon for former President Trump if he were elected president in 2024 and if Trump were convicted of a crime.
In an interview on “The View” on Wednesday, the former New Jersey governor did not hesitate to say “no” when co-host Joy Behar pointed out that GOP presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis said they would pardon Trump and asked whether Christie would do the same.
“No, no, no, no,” Christie said, before Behar finished asking the question.
He drew on his experience as governor in explaining his reasoning.
“As a governor, I issued pardons,” Christie explained. “And one of the things you have to do is look at the person. The person has to accept responsibility for what they did. Do you think Donald Trump will ever accept responsibility for anything he did?”
“It’d be really the easiest pardon decision I would ever have to make as president,” Christie said. “You don’t accept responsibility? Too bad. Go to jail.”
This is not the first time Chris Christie has shut down the idea of pardoning Trump.
In a July interview with Chris Cuomo, he said Trump would not be deserving of a pardon if found guilty in a case concerning mishandling classified documents.
Right now, Trump is facing four indictments and a total of 91 charges – yet he continues to blow phoney RINOs like Christie out of the water in the polls!
Our friends over at The Gateway Pundit provided some additional context:
Trump is currently facing four criminal indictments for a total of 91 charges.
Despite the lawfare being deployed against him, Trump is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination by a landslide.
Christie also told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo that he would not pardon Trump in the mishandling of classified documents case during an interview in July.
“Let’s say with the documents case — which is the only one that the president would have jurisdiction over. Given what’s alleged in the indictment, if that were proven, and … the former president were found guilty, as long as I thought he got a fair trial … I would have a hard time considering any pardon.”
“And by the way, as you know, to get a pardon, you have to also accept responsibility for what you did,” the former governor continued. “I doubt very highly that Donald Trump would ever do that. And so I can’t imagine a pardon being issued.”
But hey, maybe we should take Christie a little more seriously…
After all, who else has the confidence to do this?…
We definitely should listen to this dude 🤡 pic.twitter.com/ZEu3IkDZJR
