It seems to me that swatting might just be the great equalizer, even though it is a ridiculous practice.
All joking aside, put people on trial, don’t SWAT them. While it might be amusing sometimes to read these stories, swatting does nothing to further the cause of justice.
It was poetic when it happened to Shenna Bellows, but doesn’t really do anything to curb behavior or right all the wrongs these people do, and the Lord knows their wrongs are too many to count.
Left-wing billionaire George Soros became the latest victim of swatting due to a fake 911 call placed to authorities around 9 PM on Saturday.
According to reports, the fake call placed to 911 dispatchers claimed that Soros had shot his wife at his Southhampton Long Island mansion. Of course, Soros did not shoot his wife. Fox News confirmed:
The New York Post reported that the Southampton Village Police Department received a 911 call just before 9 p.m. on Saturday from a person who claimed that he shot his wife and threatened to kill himself at the mansion on Old Town Road.
Officers rushed to the scene, but the call turned out to be false, according to Southampton Village Detective Sgt. Herman Lamison, per the Post’s report.
People had mixed reactions to the fake swatting incident involving the Soros family at their Long Island home:
Someone swatted George Soros?? 😂 Seriously?? 🤣 https://t.co/lUKpFxyKoi

Now George Soros was swatted? What a waste of time and money.

As damaging & destructive as #GeorgeSoros has been, "#swatting" – which has been more commonly used to harass #conservatives – must be stopped. It is abusive to #police, who have a serious job to do, and risks accidental injury or death to the targets. https://t.co/cQUoVvU72J

The New York Post added:
The report turned out to be bogus, Southampton Police Detective Herman Lamison said Monday.
Lamison confirmed that the 93-year-old billionaire is the owner of the Long Island estate on Old Town Road.
It is not clear if Soros or members of his family were home at the time of the incident.
