Yet ANOTHER GOP Lawmaker SWATTED By Law Enforcement Over Holidays

How rude, I might hate a lot of politicians, but Swatting someone? Come on now.

For those who don’t know what swatting is, don’t feel bad. I honestly had never heard of it until it became the favored holiday gift of the mentally ill.

Swatting refers to calling in a fake bomb, hostage, or lethal threat at the residence of someone completely innocent and unaware of what is going on.

The SWAT team then bursts into the home of a completely unsuspecting person or family and very quickly figures out that there is no threat at all.

Of course, this happens only after the family has been sufficiently traumatized by having a team of armed men rush into their house at gunpoint.

Florida Senator Rick Scott became the latest GOP lawmaker to suffer a swatting incident at his residence on Wednesday night, joining the ranks of Marjorie Taylor Greene and others.

Following the unfortunate incident, Scott posted this message to his social media account:

“Last night, while at dinner with my wife, cowards “swatted” my home in Naples. These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family. Ann & I want to thank Naples Police & Sheriff Collier for all they do to keep us safe.”

The New York Post detailed the suspicious call to dispatch that prompted the swatting event:

An incident report obtained by The Post shows the male caller, who identified himself as “Jamal,” said he had shot his wife with an AR-15 rifle three times because she was sleeping with another man.

“Jamal indicated he was holding a hostage and demanded $10,000. He said the hostage was his wife’s boyfriend, Michael.

Jamal said he was in possession of a pipe bomb and, if not provided the $10,000, would blow up the house,” the report reads.

Journalist Rachel Bovard took the chance to criticize the political establishment for their treatment of January 6th political prisoners.

“We’ll never know who put the pipe bombs outside the DNC, who leaked the Dobbs decision, or who swatted Sen. Rick Scott & other House members, but if you engaged “in synchronized pushing & shoving against police officers” on J6 we will find you by the shape of your ears,” she said.

Laura Loomer asked: “Who is behind the recent swatting of Republican Congressmen & Senators? Is this a Dem effort to get a lawmaker killed to weaken the GOP majority in Congress?”

The Hill named other policymakers who were also swatted:

On Christmas Day, GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Brandon Williams (N.Y.) both said their homes were swatted.

The Boston Police Department said Mayor Michelle Wu (D) was also the subject of a swatting incident Monday.
