Conservative lawmaker Lauren Boebert has announced she will switch congressional districts for the 2024 election.
The move by Boebert comes after she barely squeaked out a win in her re-election campaign with 546 votes.
Boebert will run for office in Colorado’s 4th Congressional district, where Rep. Ken Buck is retiring.
The 4th congressional district is much more conservative than the 3rd district, which essentially locks in Boebert for a win on election night as long as she survives a Republican primary.
Rep. Lauren Boebert: “I wanted to let my constituents & supporters hear directly from me my plans for the 2024 election cycle & the importance of maintaining a conservative voice for Colorado in Congress as well as keeping our Republican House majority.

Here’s what The Daily Mail reported:
Conservative firebrand Lauren Boebert has announced she will switch congressional districts for the 2024 election, after scraping to re-election in 2022 by only 546 votes.
Boebert, a 37-year-old grandmother and mother of four sons, said that she had made the decision to continue her fight against ‘the socialists and communists taking over our country.’
ADVERTISEMENTShe said there was ‘dark money’ directed at her personally ‘to steal this seat’. And she said it was a fresh start after her divorce and ‘personal mistakes’.
Boebert made headlines over the summer after she was caught on camera groping a date, vaping and taking selfies at a performance of the musical Beetlejuice in Denver, and then giving ushers the finger when she was asked to leave and declaring: ‘Do you know who I am?’ She also sparked controversy by heckling Joe Biden in his 2022 State of the Union address, and caused anger by making an Islamophobic joke about Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
Boebert announced her switch of districts in a Facebook video published on Wednesday, saying: ‘I did not arrive at this decision easily.

Here’s what Business Insider reported:
Rep. Lauren Boebert is switching congressional districts at the end of a year that included a public scandal and political outspending.
The GOP politician said she would be moving over to the other side of the state, from Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District to the 4th Congressional District — a more conservative part of the state where Rep. Ken Buck is retiring, The Colorado Sun reported.
The move comes a day after Business Insider reported that the Colorado incumbent’s opponent, Democrat Adam Frisch, has raised over $7.7 million, per the Federal Election Commission.
Boebert is facing competition from within the GOP as well. Republican attorney Jeff Hurd will be challenging Boebert in the primaries. Hurd, whose campaign launched in August, has raised over $412,000 in the third quarter of this year, according to the FEC.
Though she didn’t mention the fundraising challenge in her announcement, Boebert has raised over $2.4 million for her campaign this cycle, per the FEC.
ADVERTISEMENT“I did not arrive at this decision easily,” Boebert said in a Facebook video on Wednesday. “A lot of prayer, a lot of tough conversations, and a lot of perspective convinced me that this is the best way I can continue to fight for Colorado, for the conservative movement, and for my children’s future.”
Boebert also implied that the move would help the GOP cause in the district.
“I will not allow dark money that is directed at destroying me personally to steal this seat,” she also said. “It’s not fair to the 3rd District and the conservatives there who have fought so hard for our victories.”
Not everyone is happy Boebert is surrendering her district to a Democrat.
Take a look:
Damn, Lauren Boebert gave her district away, to a Democrat, even faster than she gave her ass away, on a first date, to a Democrat. 🤔

Lauren Boebert said she would be running in Colorado's 4th Congressional District, where fellow Repub Rep. Ken Buck is quitting. Leaving the 3rd Congressional District, where she barely beat her Dem opponent by less than 600 votes.

Lauren Boebert said she's staying in the fight and not allowing Hollywood elites to own Colorado’s 3rd District…by ditching it to represent the 4th District.
Makes *perfect* sense to me lol
