Actor Kevin Spacey has had quite a tumultuous few years with a host of allegations and criminal charges as well as the loss of a high-profile role in the Netflix drama “House of Cards.”
And in those years, he has released a few bizarre videos around the holidays. That trend continued on Christmas Eve, but this time it was in the form of an interview with Tucker Carlson. Channeling his presidential character Frank Underwood, Spacey signaled that he might be flirting with a White House campaign of his own.
According to TMZ:
Kevin Spacey is back for his annual Christmas-time Frank Underwood shtick, only this time he has big news … teasing a presidential run, and breaking it to Tucker Carlson.
The actor showed up in TC’s latest X interview, which just dropped Sunday — and yes, he’s completely in character as his former “House of Cards” anti-hero for the 7-minute video. While he never outright says he’s running for POTUS, he certainly suggests he just might.
The clip received immediate attention on social media:

Not everyone on the right thought it was a good idea for Carlson to invite Spacey for an interview … at least based on the clip that was initially released.
Tucker interviewed Kevin Spacey.
Spacey was good pals with Epstein. He was also accused of sexuaIIy assaulting minors, but 3 of his accusers turned up dead.
I really hope Tucker asked him about this when the full interview drops. pic.twitter.com/KxAmyVVaVJ

Kevin Spacey flew with Jeffrey Epstein and was named in his little black book.
Multiple men have come forward to accuse Spacey of sexuaI assault when they were young boys.
But that’s not all.
This is what happened to the people who came forward against Spacey:

Carlson indirectly brought up his guest’s abrupt departure from Netflix, which prompted a quip from the actor referencing Carlson’s ouster from Fox News.

Politics aside, Spacey has been attempting to mount an entertainment industry comeback since he was acquitted of charges he faced in the United Kingdom.
As The Hollywood Reporter explained:
Six years after his career imploded amid dozens of sexual misconduct accusations, Kevin Spacey has set a return to theaters. The indie thriller Peter Five Eight is set to hit in limited release on March 22, 2024.
Invincible Entertainment CEO Thomas Ashley, who is backing Spacey’s attempt to resurrect his screen career after being found not guilty in a UK sexual assault trial in July, explains his reasoning for distributing the film, noting he hopes audiences judge the movie on its merits, and not the allegations of sexual misconduct dogging the House of Cards actor.
Here’s the video Spacey dropped exactly three years ago:
