Ron DeSantis Asked If He Will Stand With Vivek and Trump and Remove His Name From the CO Ballot

Yesterday, Vivek once again displayed true leadership and integrity when he almost instantly responded to the news that Colorado had banned President Trump from the 2024 ballot.

Vivek immediately took to Twitter and posted that he will remove his name from the CO Ballot unless & until President Trump is restored.

I haven’t always been the biggest Vivek fan, but he is growing on my big time.

That’s leadership.

That’s integrity.

So we all knew what Ron DeSantis would do, right?

Not that Ron isn’t ethical, he seems like a good guy, but he’s not a leader — not even close.

And he almost always makes the wrong decision.

So I knew this was coming before it even hit, but sure enough Ron was just asked if he would stand in solidarity and he said no.

Well, first he licked his lips a lot — why does he always do that?  It’s so creepy! — and then after he was done licking his lips in the grossest way possible he said “no”.

Here’s what Laura Loomer posted:

MUST WATCH: On  @NEWSMAX moments ago, @RonDeSantis was asked by the show host if he is going to stand in solidarity with @VivekGRamaswamy
and also remove himself from the GOP primary ballot in Colorado since President Trump has been removed from the ballot.
He said NO, and didn’t even condemn the egregious act of ELECTION INTERFERENCE! DeSantis continues to become more unlikable every time he opens his mouth. Shame on @RonDeSantis! #Trump2024

In contrast, here’s what Vivek said yesterday….

Not just that, but he has demanded that the other candidates – Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley do the exact same thing to not let them get away with what they’re going to Trump!

He also posted this video explaining his reasoning and calling out the other GOP candidates:

The Post Millennial has more details on his pledge:

Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spoke out after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump could be removed from the Colorado 2024 ballot for the crime of insurrection, for which Trump has neither been charged nor convicted.
“This is what an actual attack on democracy looks like,” Ramaswamy said, “in an un-American, unconstitutional, and unprecedented decision, a cabal of Democrat judges are barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado. Having tried every trick in the book to eliminate President Trump from running in this election, the bipartisan Establishment is now deploying a new tactic to bar him from ever holding office again: the 14th Amendment,” he said.

“I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is also allowed to be on the state’s ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to do the same immediately—or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country,” Ramaswamy continued.

“Today’s decision is the latest election interference tactic to silence political opponents and swing the election for whatever puppet the Democrats put up this time by depriving Americans of the right to vote for their candidate of choice.

“The 14th Amendment was part of the ‘Reconstruction Amendments’ that were ratified following the Civil War. It was passed to prohibit former Confederate military and political leaders from holding high federal or state office. These men had clearly taken part in a rebellion against the United States: the Civil War. That makes it all the more absurd that a left-wing group in Colorado is asking a federal court to disqualify the 45th President on the same grounds, equating his speech to rebellion against the United States.

The Hill also commented:

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy pledged to withdraw from the GOP primary ballot in Colorado following a ruling Tuesday from the state’s Supreme Court to remove former President Trump from the ballot over his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

Colorado’s highest court kicked Trump off the state’s Republican primary ballot under the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause” in a 4-3 ruling. The court affirmed Trump engaged in insurrection by inflaming his supporters with false claims of election fraud and directing them to the Capitol. Colorado became the first state to block Trump from seeking the presidency because of his role in the Capitol attack.

The insurrection clause prohibits the holding of “any office … under the United States” if a person engaged in insurrection after swearing to “support” the Constitution as “an officer of the United States.” The Colorado Supreme Court determined the clause covers the office of the president.

What do you think of this bold move?

Are you proud of Vivek for standing by President Trump?
