Two More Lawmakers Announce They’re Not Running Again!

This should come as good news to Republicans now facing an ever-shrinking majority over Democrats.

Two more lawmakers have announced that they will not seek re-election to Congress once their terms are up. Rep. Drew Ferguson (R-GA) and Rep. Wiley Nickel (D-NC) have announced their ‘retirement’ from Congress.

So far, 23 Democrats have announced that they are not seeking re-election or are seeking to retire from politics altogether, almost double the number of Republicans.

Although the Democrat lawmakers who have announced that they are exiting politics have all provided different reasons for doing so, I can’t help but think the Biden regime might be the central reason.

Biden’s unhinged policies and clearly declining cognitive health have definitely turned off many Democrats, though few will publicly admit it.

The Resident-in-Chief is now facing increased pressure from inside his own party to put aside re-election and also retire from public life ahead of the 2024 election.

Whether or not he is replaced by Gavin Newsom remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the Democrat Party is in crisis. Don’t let them make you believe otherwise. Here’s the latest on the lawmakers leaving office:

According to Just The News:

At least 40 members of Congress – seven senators and 33 House members – have so far said they will not seek reelection next year.

Just in November, 13 senators and House members announced they wouldn’t run – the largest number to do so in a single month in over a decade.

One individual explained: “There are 8 Democrat & 8 Republican Congressman retiring this year, & 4 Democrat & 1 Republican Senators retiring as well. There are 8 Democrat Congressman running for different offices & 2 Republicans doing the same.”

Politico provided this statement from Rep. Nickel:

“Republicans have rigged the system to favor themselves and I don’t have a path to run for re-election in the 13th district. But I’m not giving up and neither should you.”
