The Biden regime continues to target innocent journalists for the crime of doing their jobs.
We saw it with Owen Shroyer and a whole host of other conservative journalists who covered the events of January 6th, which ultimately culminated in a riot.
Now, we are seeing yet another conservative journalist targeted for continuing to expose the lies of the regime and shatter the narrative surrounding January 6th.
Steve Baker of The Blaze is now staring down charges from Biden’s DOJ and will reportedly surrender next week.
The conservative journalist announced on Thursday: “My attorney has just been notified by [the] FBI that I am going to be charged by The Justice Dept for my journalistic efforts on Jan 6. I have to self-surrender on Tuesday. Charges are yet unknown. Stay tuned for more information to follow this afternoon.”

The Blaze, where Steve Baker is a contributor, had more details on the legal trouble he is facing:
Baker on Thursday told Blaze Media that FBI Special Agent Craig Noyes contacted his attorney in North Carolina and that Noyes said he doesn’t know what the charges are — and won’t know until the judge signs off on the warrant.
ADVERTISEMENTBaker also told Blaze Media that if the Justice Department goes forward with charges, travel restrictions will be placed on him, which will hamper his reporting, as he’s based in North Carolina but works a great deal in Washington, D.C., covering trials, viewing Jan. 6 videos, and speaking face-to-face with elected officials.
The journalist did nothing but report on the events of January 6th and the facts to come out after the protests. His ensuing investigative reporting can be seen below:
“An allegation of a Capitol Police officer lying under oath is very serious and must be fully investigated. For this reason, I am releasing these still frames from USCP CCTV video footage, with timestamps, showing the movements of Officer Lazarus on January 6, 2021.” ⬇️

In @theblaze's Oct. 4th story about Special Agent Lazarus, we were able to show, in great detail, what he testified to witnessing between @CapitolPolice Officer Harry Dunn (@libradunn) and four Oath Keepers on #Jan6, he simply could not have seen… ⬇️https://t.co/L7K49A1IpG

During Lazarus's Oct. 31, 2022 trial testimony, he stated that he began his return to the Capitol Building after hearing "shots" fired over USCP radio. That occurred at 2:43 p.m. Here, Lazarus can be seen moving back toward the Capitol at 2:45:04 p.m. ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/pXw2RetA8q

The Associated Press claimed:
Even credentialed reporters and news photographers are not immune from prosecution if they break a law on the job, said Jane Kirtley, who teaches media ethics and law at the University of Minnesota.
“It’s not a get-out-of-jail-free card,” Kirtley said.
