BREAKING: President Trump Suffers Legal Setback In New York

Former President Trump has suffered yet another legal setback in his New York City civil ‘fraud’ case.

An appellate court in New York has denied President Trump’s request to lift the gag order placed on him by Judge Arthur Engoron.

Recall that Engoron is presiding over a case claiming that President Trump engaged in some sort of fraud by ‘misrepresenting’ his assets to financial lenders.

Everyone misrepresents their assets and banks aren’t phased by this, they expect it and conduct their due diligence.

As the testimony of Deutsche Bank executive David Williams informed us, banks expect this kind of behavior and still grant loans knowing that an individual’s net worth fluctuates wildly from year to year.

In other words, President Trump did nothing wrong or even irregular. You know what is wrong? Claiming that Mar-a-Lago carries a value of $18 million. Here are the latest developments:

Background information on this particular gag order was provided by Fox News:

Following the ruling, Engoron imposed a partial gag order to prevent all parties from engaging in any verbal attacks against court staff after Trump criticized a member of the judge’s office on social media.

Engoron added that “personal attacks on members of my court staff are unacceptable, not appropriate” and warned they would not be tolerated.

Here are the corresponding legal documents from the New York State Appellate Division First Department keeping the gag order in place.

The Epoch Times highlighted this portion of the order:

“It is ordered that the motion for leave to appeal is denied; that branch of the motion for expedited resolution of the petition is denied as moot,” the clerk wrote.

It is unclear whether the defense will continue to appeal the gag order via the avenues outlined by the appellate court, as the trial is heading to a close.
