Have You Heard About The $30 Million Google Lunar X Prize?

Have you heard about Google’s $30 Million Bounty called the Lunar X Prize?

More on that in a minute….

First I want to ask you a question.

Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492, right?

We all know that from the famous rhyme: In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

And set aside whether the Vikings did it 400 years earlier, or the indigenous people already living here.  For purposes of this question, let’s just go with the common understanding that Columbus and the fellas discovered America in 1492.

What would you think if 40 years later no one had ever gone back….and then in 1532 the King of England opened up a Bounty that said he’d give $30 Million to anyone who could sail to America just like Columbus did.

But wait, I’m not done yet….what if that Contest was open for 11 years and no one could do it?

That would be really strange, right?

Of course that’s not how history played out.

That’s not how history has EVER played out.

In the known history of the world, once some new “land” is discovered, people go to it over and over and over and then wars are fought over it and so the cycle continues!

In fact, history tells us that following Columbus, these were the next ventures to the new land:

  1. John Cabot (Giovanni Caboto), sailing for England, landed on the North American coast in 1497.
  2. Vasco Núñez de Balboa crossed the Isthmus of Panama and reached the Pacific Ocean in 1513.
  3. Juan Ponce de León explored Florida in 1513.
  4. Hernán Cortés began his conquest of the Aztec Empire in Mexico in 1519.

Now back to Google’s $30 Million Bounty called the Lunar X Prize, and a similar “story”.

In 1969, everyone knows we made it to the Moon (right?) — you know, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Historic!

Then we went a few more times, the last of which was 1972 in Apollo 17.

Then….we just never went back.

And by “we” I mean humans.

No human has landed on the Moon since 1972.

Flash forward to 2007, over 40 years later, and Google launches something called the X Prize — where it basically offers $30 Million to any privately-funded  team that could land a Rover on the Moon.

Not even a human, just a Rover.

The competition launched in 2007 and was extended multiple times before finally being cancelled 11 years later in 2018 with no one claiming the prize — or even coming close to it.

Anyone else find that a little strange?

From 2007, here are more details from the launch of the contest from the MetroWest Daily News:

If the competition produces a winner, it would prove a major boon to the emerging private spaceflight industry and mark the first time that a nongovernment entity has flown a lunar space probe.

Google partnered with the X Prize Foundation for the moon challenge, which is open to companies around the world. The Santa Monica-based nonprofit prize institute is best known for hosting the Ansari X Prize contest that led to the first manned private spaceflight in 2004.

The race to the moon won’t be easy or cheap. Teams have to raise money to build a roaming spacecraft that will be tough enough to survive a landing and have the smarts to complete a set of tasks. Each rover must also be equipped with high-definition video and still cameras to document the journey.

The rules call for a spacecraft to trek at least 1,312 feet across the lunar surface and return a package of data including self-portraits, panoramic views and near-real time videos. Participants are also responsible for securing a launch vehicle for the probe, either by building it themselves or contracting with an existing rocket company.

Whoever accomplishes the feat by the end of 2012 will receive $20 million. If there is no winner, the purse will drop to $15 million until the end of 2014 when the contest expires. There is also a $5 million second-place prize and $5 million in bonus money to teams that go beyond the minimum requirements.

The competition comes at a time of revived interest in lunar exploration among foreign governments since the Cold War space race. Governments including the United States and those in Europe and Asia are gearing up to return to the moon.

Japan’s space agency, JAXA, plans to launch its long-delayed orbiter SELENE from a remote Pacific Island on Friday. NASA next year will rocket a lunar orbiter and impactor, the first of several lunar robotic projects before astronauts are sent to the moon next decade.

Government lunar missions can cost upward of hundreds of millions of dollars, but the X Prize Foundation and Google hope the private sector can do it for considerably less.

The partnership between Google and the X Prize Foundation comes as no surprise. Earlier this year, Google co-founder Larry Page hosted a star-studded charity auction for the foundation at the company’s Mountain View headquarters. Page is a trustee of the X Prize Foundation.

Google has had previous forays into space albeit via the Internet by launching Google Mars and Google Earth, Web browser-based mapping tools that give users an up-close, interactive view with the click of a mouse.

The X Prize Foundation is also holding competitions in rapid genetic decoding and creating super-efficient vehicles, but the moon prize is by far the largest in its history since it was founded in 1995. The Google X Prize is second richest space prize, next to the $50 million pot being dangled by hotel magnate Robert Bigelow to any American team that can rocket a manned spacecraft into orbit by 2010.

In 2018, 11 years later, Space.com announces the end of the contest with no winner and no one even close to winning:

It’s official: The $30 million Google Lunar X Prize is no more.

“After close consultation with our five finalist Google Lunar X Prize teams over the past several months, we have concluded that no team will make a launch attempt to reach the moon by the March 31, 2018, deadline,” X Prize founder and chairman Peter Diamandis said in a joint statement today (Jan. 23) with Marcus Shingles, the organization’s CEO.

“This literal ‘moonshot’ is hard, and while we did expect a winner by now, due to the difficulties of fundraising, technical and regulatory challenges, the grand prize of the $30M Google Lunar X Prize will go unclaimed,” they added.

The acknowledgement confirms news broken yesterday by CNBC.

The Google Lunar X Prize (GLXP) was announced in 2007, with the stated aim of encouraging commercial spaceflight and exploration. The contest challenged privately funded teams to put a robotic spacecraft on the moon, move the craft 1,640 feet (500 meters), and have it beam high-definition photos and video back to Earth.

The first team to do this would win the $20 million grand prize. The second-place team would get $5 million, and an additional $5 million was available for various special accomplishments, bringing the total purse to $30 million. The GLXP has awarded more than $6 million so far, for various milestones that teams have achieved. (Milestone prizes would count toward, and not boost, the total purse taken home by first- or second-place teams. So, the money given out by the GLXP would not have topped $30 million.)

The deadline was originally the end of 2012, but GLXP representatives pushed it back several times, finally to March 31 of this year. Google apparently did not want to grant another extension — but that doesn’t necessarily mean the moon race is completely off.

“X Prize is exploring a number of ways to proceed from here,” Diamandis and Shingles said in today’s statement. “This may include finding a new title sponsor to provide a prize purse following in the footsteps of Google’s generosity, or continuing the Lunar X Prize as a noncash competition where we will follow and promote the teams and help celebrate their achievements.”

Several dozen teams threw their hats into the ring over the course of the decade-long GLXP competition, but that pool was finally whittled down to five finalists: Florida-based Moon Express, Japan’s Team Hakuto, SpaceIL from Israel, India’s Team Indus and international outfit Synergy Moon.

Several of these teams have stressed that the GLXP, while a helpful spur, was not the main reason for their existence.

“SpaceIL is committed to landing the first Israeli spacecraft on the moon, regardless of the terms or status of the Lunar X Prize,” SpaceIL spokesman Ryan Greiss told Space.com via email. “We are at the height of our efforts to raise the funds for this project and to prepare for launch.”

And Moon Express CEO Bob Richards wrote the following words earlier this month, as part of an op-ed for Space News: “The competition was a sweetener in the landscape of our business case, but it’s never been the business case itself. We continue to focus on our core business plans of collapsing the cost of access to the moon, our partnership with NASA, and our long-term vision of unlocking lunar resources for the benefit of life on Earth and our future in space.”

Anyone else find the logo of the competition very interesting?

Here’s the Google XPRIZE logo (pay particular attention to the X):

The X sure does look like an almost perfect combination of the Twitter/X logo:

And the SpaceX logo:

Strange, right?

It’s almost like the Twitter/X rebranded logo was available for all the world to see dating back to 2007.

Weird!

Future proves past, huh?

Speaking of strangeness around the X logo, I really hate seeing this connection to the Freemasons, but I have to show you this as well:

So let’s recap key dates….

1969-1972, we allegedly sent a bunch of astronauts to the Moon like it was old hat.  Even nailed it on the first try in 1969.  Easy Peasy!

Then we just stop going.

Then in 2007, Google opens up a $30 million bounty that can be claimed easily by just doing what we already did 40 years ago, only now we have 1,000 times the computing power in the palm of our hand in our phones than we did when we were Frequent Flyers to the Moon in 1969-72.

Then 11 years pass, and the Bounty is shut down in 2018 because no one is able to claim it.

Then flash forward once again to 2023 and a literal Rocket Scientist and richest man on the Earth, Elon Musk, is STILL unable to successfully launch a rocket farther that LEO (Low Earth Orbit).

Oh sure, SpaceX satellites are real — I don’t dispute that.

There are dozens of those.

But what happens when you try and go BEYOND Low Earth Orbit even in 2023?

Well, this happens:

Did Elon Musk’s Rocket Just Hit The Firmament And Explode?

Stay with me on this one…

This is bound to ruffle some feathers because I’m killing some sacred cows in this post.

Actually, not even killing them, just asking a question.

But every time I ask this question it stirs up some deep and sometimes angry responses.

“How dare you [question Space]!”

Read that last one in a Greta voice.

But sorry folks, I have to ask the question.

Have we truly been to Space?

Have we truly been to the moon?

Oh I have no doubt we have thousands of satellites in orbit, but that’s in low Earth orbit.

I’m asking whether there is a “Firmament” up there (as the Bible describes in multiple places, did you know that?).

If you don’t know about the Firmament, keep reading because I will give you more than you’ve ever wanted to know about it farther down below.

So please allow me to ask this question and set the stage for you.

Let’s start with the understanding that the Bible talks very clearly about there being a “Firmament” over Earth.

We’ll talk more about what that means in a minute, but start there.

Now I want you to think back to the 1969-1972 time period when we allegedly sent ship after ship of astronauts to the Moon.

Remember that?

Or if you weren’t alive, have you read about it?

Now riddle me this: why did we suddenly stop going?

We just got busy?

Got distracted?

Ran out of money?

We know it’s not any of those things.

So why did we stop going?

I’d love to hear your answers for that, but it’s one of the most basic unanswered questions of my lifetime.

Imagine the Europeans discover America back in the 1400’s and then just stopped sending boats?

Just decided to never go back?

Does that make any sense?

Hmmm…..

And one more question before I show you some videos of Elon’s rocket launch and ask my final question.

The one more question is this: how did we know how to shoot rockets off into space so well back in 1972 but we forgot how to do it with infinitely better technology in 2023?

Really, let that sink in a bit.

Remember the movie Apollo 11?

We had so many Apollo missions they got up Apollo 14.

Rocket after rocket after rocket.

But now?

Over 50 years later and lightyears (no pun intended) of tech advances under our belts and now we can’t even get the rocket into Space?

Say what now?

But that’s not just my opinion, that’ what CNBC just said….read this:

Elon Musk’s SpaceX on Thursday launched its Starship rocket for the first time, but fell short of reaching space after exploding in mid-flight. No crew were on board.

It’s the culmination of years of regulatory work and technological tests for SpaceX and the largest and most powerful rocket ever built.

The company made a first go at getting this launch off the ground on Monday, but a pressure valve in the Super Heavy booster apparently froze. SpaceX teams worked to resolve a number of unidentified issues to make a second attempt possible Thursday.

SpaceX leadership repeatedly stressed the experimental nature of the launch and said any result that involved Starship getting off the launchpad would be a success. The rocket flew for nearly 4 minutes and successfully separated from the Super Heavy booster, a key in-flight milestone, before suffering what the company called a “rapid unscheduled disassembly.”

Musk said the company “learned a lot” on Thursday and teased another test launch in “a few months.”

Now read that bold part again.

We sent 14 rockets to the moon by 1972, but now 50 years later we’ve gone backward and just getting off the launchpad would be a success?

What?

Hello…is anyone out there with critical thinking skills?

Does this make sense to anyone?

Keep reading for my ultimate question which ties back into the firmament, but first here is a video from SpaceX:

Ok, now I want to ask you a question…

Did Elon’s rocket just run smack dab into the Firmament and blow up?

Because that’s what it looks like to me.

Watch:

Sure does look like it hit something solid, doesn’t it?

Watch again here:

https://twitter.com/erockappel/status/1649090632366059520

This guy has a good point:

https://twitter.com/ThePlatypusCA/status/1649050686552936449

You don’t naturally just explode in mid air, do you?

Look folks, I’m just asking the question and based on everything I just listed above, I think it’s a fair question to ask: did we just shoot a massive rocket directly into the Firmament to see what would happen?

Elon says he got a ton of data from this launch.

Is that the data we were trying to get?

Are we in a Fishbowl and we’re trying to get data on just how big and thick and strong the Fishbowl is?

I’m not the only one asking the question.

Stew Peters just said the same thing:

For those of you who think it’s a crazy question to even ask, you may not be aware of this:

Did The CIA Just Admit The Firmament Exists?

Can we talk “Conspiracy Theories” for a minute?

Actually, I think we need to start calling them “Conspiracy Facts”.

So does Elon Musk.

Because they’re all being proven true!

Watch this from Elon:

He was speaking directly about Twitter, but this comment from @MrJohnDais nails it…if you think it was ONLY at Twitter and they’re not lying to you basically everywhere else, then I have a bridge to sell you in New York.

https://twitter.com/MrJohnDais/status/1607022217602146305

With that as background, now watch this…

First you have to understand what you are about to see.

These are all official government documents….some of them very recent.

And what do they say?

What do they describe?

First of all, they use the word “firmament” very frequently.

They also talk about explosions and trying to break through the firmament.

Hello, “Operation Fishbowl, Project Dominik”.

Then it gets even crazier…

What are the Government’s models for flying airplanes?

Their model takes several assumptions into account.

First, they assume the Earth isn’t moving.

Then they assume the Earth isn’t spinning.

Wow, double strike for the Globe model.

I’ll just let you watch (and all of these are publicly available records you can search out yourself!).

Watch here:

Strangely enough, this isn’t my only “Flat Earth” story today…

I don’t search these out.

I don’t control what Tim Pool tweets…

But he just posted about “the Firmament” today.

More on that in a minute…

First, does anyone believe this? 👇

NASA “Lost” The Technology To Go To The Moon?

Buckle up my friends!

Many of you are not going to handle this article well.

Sorry, but my mission remains the same as it was when I founded this site in 2015: to shine the light on TRUTH, wherever that takes us.

So in this article we’re going to talk about the Earth, space and whether there is a massive cover up about the shape of the Earth.

Before you think I’ve gone completely crazy, all I ask is for you to look and see.

And as I always say, I report…YOU decide.

Also, before you think I’ve also gone crazy with the image up above, here’s the deal.

This is from a recent video uploaded by Sean over at SGT Report.

I’m sure MANY of you know SGT Report and have probably listened to a number of Sean’s videos.

I believe Sean is one of the absolute best interviewers out there.

He’s not crazy and he’s not afraid to let his investigation into a story take him wherever the truth goes.

So a few months ago, Sean started talking with these guys who run a channel called the Founded Earth Brothers.

It used to be Flat Earth Brothers but they changed the name to Founded Earth Brothers to reach more people.

Sean started interviewing them and in the early interviews you Sean comes right out and says he thinks “Flat Earth” is a crazy thing to even be talking about.

But then?

But then they keep talking and keep doing interviews and today Sean refers to himself as a “Globe as you’re told skeptic”.

This latest video is honestly one of the best interviews on any topic I have heard in a long time.

Incredibly powerful and I challenge anyone to watch this and not at least start to have some questions going off in your head about whether everything we have been told is a lie.

I can’t possibly put everything they talk about into one article but I’m going to hit a few high points that might cause you to say “huh?”

They did for me.

First up, did you know that despite ALL of our incredible technology and science and all the satellites and everything we have allegedly up in space, did you know that we don’t have ONE single photo of the Earth?

It’s true.

Now I know what you’re thinking, sure we do!  I’ve seen the textbooks!

Except what you don’t realize is that EVERY single photo of the Earth that you’ve ever seen has a disclaimer by it saying it is a “composite image”.

Meaning they didn’t just click a button on a camera and snap the pic….instead they took a bunch of smaller images and stitched them all together in a computer program.

Not one single real photo of Earth exists.

And since they’re making these photos in a computer program, perhaps that’s why all of the images look so different over the years:

Yes folks, those are all images NASA has tried to tell you are of the Earth.

Crazy, you wouldn’t think it would change color so much now would you?

But we’re just getting started.

Did you know there is also no live video feed showing the FULL Earth spinning in space?

Nope.

There are live feed videos but it’s always just of a slice of the Earth.  Very odd.

You’d really think that with all our trips to space and all our satellites, we could turn on a camera, snap a normal picture and turn on a live feed to see the whole globe, right?

And speaking of those space trips, did you know after we went to the moon in 1972 we just chose to never go back.

Think about it.

Does that make sense to anyone?

No, I’m not joking.

Here is NASA Astronaut Don Pettit in a very famous clip saying “we don’t have the technology to go to the moon anymore.”

Watch for yourself:

Anyone buying this?

Can you think of any other example in life where we found a new land and just chose to never return?

Or can you think of any other example where from 1972 to 2021 our technology went BACKWARD?

We had the tech to land on the moon in 1972 but we don’t have it now in 2021?

WAKE UP FOLKS!

I know this is going to be hard for many to believe and the cognitive dissonance is going to be STRONG on this article and I’m ready for it.

I know the comments section is going to probably be a cesspool.

That’s fine.

I still have to serve the Red Pill whenever it’s needed.

And this is the biggest Red Pill out there.

Why?

Because it gets to the question everyone ultimately asks when you talk about Flat Earth:  Why?

Why would they fake this?

Why lie about this?

The answer is actually simple.

If we live on a still, flat Earth with a firmament over the top of it (like the Bible says we do) then we were obviously put here by a Creator.

But if we’re just a pale blue dot hurling through the vast emptiness of space, then we might just be random chance.  No Creator.  No God.

Simple.

I’ve only just barely scratched the surface so far with my comments, but the guys in the video do such a good job I want to turn you over to them.

My only request to you is you don’t comment on this article until you actually watch the video below from SGT Report.

Then comment.

Here you go:

[iframe src=”https://www.bitchute.com/embed/3nFHFStFJp1E/?list=notifications&randomize=false” width=”100%” height=”360″]

Let me know what you think!

And for the Flat Earthers out there, leave your best Flat Earth Proofs in the comments below too!

There are many….

And then there was this:

Did Tim Pool Just Go Full “Flat Earth”?

I have to admit I don’t know what Tim Pool’s (Timcast) beliefs are in terms of Biblical cosmology or the shape of the Earth.

Heck, I don’t even know for what MY views are, except that I am very leery of a model that only arose relatively recently in history, which is mostly supported only by NASA and Governments, which tells us we are nothing more than a pale blue dot hurtling through empty space in 4 different directions…

That story sounds a bit whack to me.

I also know that the Bible seems to describe a still, flat Earth, with the sun, moon and stars moving around above us.

The Bible also very clearly uses one specific word to talk about what is directly above us: “the Firmament”.

Not a word we tend to use much in modern conversation, but it is very specifically used in Genesis when describing the state of our Earth.

When I asked AI to tell me about The Firmament, this is what it told me:

The firmament is a term that appears in the Bible, specifically in the book of Genesis. It refers to the sky or the space above the earth.

According to the story in Genesis, God created the firmament on the second day of creation. God separated the waters above the earth from the waters below the earth. The waters above the earth were gathered together and put under the firmament, which God called “heaven.”
