WATCH: Legendary A-List Hollywood Actress Breaks Silence, Reveals Reason For Leaving Hollywood

I normally don’t cover celebrity topics, but this one caught my eye. Angelina Jolie is an interesting figure.

In a land of debauchery, she has always stood out to me as different, something about her is different from most of the other actors and actresses in Hollywood, and the same can be said of Denzel Washington.

Perhaps these two have a conscience and this is what is different about them, I don’t know. To be honest, I don’t know much about the celebrity world, I just know Hollywood is a poisonous place.

The actress revealed her intention to leave Hollywood and the film industry behind in a recent Wall Street Journal interview, telling the outlet that Hollywood is just “Not a healthy place.”

She’s right on the money with that, I wonder what has led her to this realization and why it happened now. Here’s what she had to say to the Wall Street Journal:

According to CNN:

The daughter of actor Jon Voight, Jolie told the publication, “Because I grew up around Hollywood, I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important.”

But given the choice to break into the industry now, Jolie probably wouldn’t. “I wouldn’t be an actress today,” she said.

ABC 7 Eyewitness News shared this quote from the actress: “I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.”
