Former Governor Chris Christie Suffers Humiliating Setback

Why is former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie even running for president?

I can’t think of a single person who would vote for Christie in a Presidential election and many don’t even know who he is; If I didn’t cover political news & opinion, I wouldn’t know who Chris Christie was.

To me, he’s completely irrelevant—his only real value proposition is to stand in the way of President Trump for the RINO and never-Trump crowd. Beyond this, Christie has no real value as a candidate or a politician.

The former Governor recently suffered a campaign setback in Maine where he has not garnered enough signatures to appear on the ballot.

According to the Maine Secretary of State, the final date to turn in the required signatures to appear on the Maine Presidential ballot was Friday, December 1, 2o23.

CBS News reports:

A letter from Maine’s Director of Elections Heidi M. Peckham said Christie’s campaign only submitted “844 names certified by municipal registrars.”

Candidates had to file signatures with the municipal clerks for certification before submitting them to the Secretary of State’s office by 5 p.m. Friday.

Christie has five days to appeal the decision in Maine Superior Court.

MAGA patriots and sensible Americans celebrated this recent development and laughed Christie out of the room, so to speak.

The Hill provided this statement from Christie, who said he was ‘confident’ he would qualify for the next round of debates:

“If you look at polling over the last few cycles, you know who was winning the race in 2007 on Thanksgiving?

It was Mitt Romney,” Christie said. “Who was winning the race in 2011?

It was Newt Gingrich. And in 2015 it was Ben Carson.”
