UPDATE On The ILLEGAL Chinese BIOLAB Discovered In California

Yet another ‘unintended’ consequence of the ongoing crisis at the Southern border has now materialized.

An undocumented biolab in California that was reportedly researching HIV and Ebola strains has been discovered and exposed by U.S. investigators.

The biological pathogen research facility was operated by Chinese citizen and Canadian fugitive Jia Bei Zhu.

WLTR previously reported that Gavin Newsom even subsidized the biolab in the form of tax credits granted to the facility.

Now, we are learning that the 62-year-old Bei Zhu was an illegal immigrant. He did not even belong inside the United States. Chuck Callesto reports:

“Recently uncovered in Fresno, California, was a covert and illicit Chinese biological laboratory, reportedly filled with genetically modified mice carrying COVID-19.

Fox News shed more light on Zhu, the operator of the biolab:

Last week, the House Select Committee on the People’s Republic of China (PRC) announced he allegedly had ties to the Chinese government.

Authorities also reported Zhu had stolen millions of dollars worth of intellectual property and was part of an ongoing transnational criminal enterprise with ties to the PRC.

Tony Seruga claimed: “There are at least 50 of these illegal Chinese biolabs operating under the radar all across America and the CDC is pretty much ignoring reports.

Pathogens labeled ‘HIV’ and ‘Ebola’ were found inside one secret, illegal Chinese-owned biolab in California.

The illegal lab was operated in the city of Reedley, Calif., and the potential public safety risk it posed only came to light in December 2022 when Jesalyn Harper, an observant code enforcement officer, noticed a green garden hose sticking out of a hole in the side of a warehouse that was thought to be vacant for more than a decade.

Once inside, Harper discovered laboratory equipment, manufacturing devices, medical-grade freezers, lab mice and vials labeled in Mandarin, English and in a code that remains undeciphered.

She also encountered several individuals in lab coats who identified themselves as Chinese nationals.”

According to Zero Hedge:

The lab, located near Fresno, California (less than 200 miles from where Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Joe Biden on Wednesday), was discovered serendipitously when a local code enforcement officer noticed a garden hose attached to the facility.

This led to the discovery of thousands of vials, some labeled in Mandarin, others in an undeciphered code. However, the inaction by the FBI and CDC in this matter, as reported by the committee, is perplexing and concerning.
