Here Come The “AI Babies”…Science Gone Too Far?

A few months ago, I brought you a story about “Reborn” Silicone Babies.

Some thought it was super creepy…

Some thought it was awesome!

Some thought it served some good medical purposes.

I’ll post that entire article below in case you missed it, but the essence is that they are now creating and selling hyper-realistic looking silicon “babies”.

It’s absolutely eerie to see them.

Here’s a sneak peak:

Now we advance the story…

A couple months ago, the story was just silicon babies.

They LOOKED real, but they didn’t do anything.

Didn’t move…

Didn’t cry…

Didn’t make sounds.

That’s all changing now because what was the only thing missing?

Putting Artificial Intelligence in them, of course!

Prepare to be majorly freaked out!

Here was my original story in case you missed it:

Introducing….”Reborn” Silicone Babies

And now for something totally different!

Look, I know this is going to be very weird and very creepy, but I don’t get to choose the news, I just report it.

And I don’t shy away from the weird and creepy stories because those often need to be told the most.

I don’t quite know what is going on here, but I do know #1 it is real and #2 it just “feels” very wrong.

I’m going to show you a video of “Silicone Babies”.

These are not real babies, but I would challenge anyone to watch this video and tell me you could tell this wasn’t a real baby.

It just feels so strange to watch, and immediately you’re mind starts to ask the question: “why even do this?”

More on that in a minute.

First, watch:

Kevin asks the question we are probably all thinking:

I can think of some really creepy reasons people would buy these….

But one “good” reason I read about is that it helps kids with Autism or other diseases learn to adapt to life better.

That’s a good reason I guess.

Oh, and to prove they’re real, they’re not only REAL but they’re available by the HUNDREDS on Amazon.

Yes, really:

They call them “Reborn Baby Dolls” — even the name is creepy!

Here’s more from TOFR:

The technology and techniques for sculpting and crafting baby dolls have come a long way throughout the years. There will always be the entry-level dolls you see in your toy store, such as Barbie dolls, etc., but what if you’re in the market for something more realistic?

Well, look no further than silicone baby dolls. Although these dolls can range on the pricier side, you get an incredibly lifelike high-quality baby doll for your dollar. These full body silicone baby dolls look incredibly realistic and are both ultra-soft and flexible.

There are many uses that can come out of a silicone baby girl or boy doll. For one, new mothers can use these dolls in preparation for their upcoming child. By handling one of these dolls, they will become more comfortable in the carrying and movements of a newborn baby. Some of these dolls also are able to be bathed, which will give expecting mothers some practice on that end as well, so they are fully prepared when their newborn arrives!

People who suffer from disorders such as dementia or autism can also benefit from silicone baby dolls as well. These dolls do a fantastic job in helping with therapeutic therapies by allowing the ability to teach nurturing. They also offer a sense of comfort in taking care of something, something which people with dementia are often seeking.

In children with autism, these dolls can help children regulate their emotions and become more empathetic. These kids will also improve their coordination and dexterity by using these dolls. By dressing the baby doll up in clothing, the children become better at things such as zipping clothing, buttoning up shirts, or tying strings. All of this practice builds up dexterity in the child’s hands and fingers, which is fantastic for some children with autism.

We are aware that these dolls can be expensive. Some of them can go for upwards of $200.00, so we have curated a list of affordable full body silicone baby dolls that won’t comprise on quality.
